1. 997A is just a bus. Sure, I had good memories of it. But it
really is just a vehicle for service-providing. Time is up, I would
not wish to put it on revenue service just for the sake of doing
so.
2. If variety is what you want, then of course bendies for you
then. 1/72 scale bendies. To add to your colourful variety of
buses. If variety is what you want, you can suggest SAF to purchase
100 guns of each type you can think of, and happily go for 5 ICT a
year after ORD trying to learn all of them.
3. The public doesn't quite agree with all the "good" points you
listed. You can try asking around. On services like 188 along Pasir
Panjang Rd, just one bendy will make you weep at the bus-stop,
waiting for the bus behind to pick you up. All the public remembers
is the 0405Gs burning into heaps of smouldering metal, and motion
sickness at the rear (go find ST forum letters).
4. COI bothered to even pinpoint a specific variety of bus that
limited response flexibility of PTO. This is really surprising IMO.
And I'm not sure if you realise what this actually means. It
doesn't mean outright ban. It probably meant worse.
