The information in this thread is true and comes directly from
DaimlerChrysler.
The two new engines are the OM 936 h (7.698-litre) and OM 470 h
(10.677-litre).
Outputs for the OM 936 h:
* 220kW (299 PS) @ 2200rpm, 1200Nm @ 1200-1600rpm
* 260kW (354 PS) @ 2200rpm, 1400Nm @ 1200-1600rpm
Outputs for the OM 470 h:
* 265kW (360 PS) @ 1800rpm, 1700Nm @ 1100rpm
* 290kW (394 PS) @ 1800rpm, 1900Nm @ 1100rpm
AdBlue consumption falls by 50% - down from 5% of diesel
consumption to 2.5% of diesel consumption. Fuel consumption
is a few percentage points better than Euro 5/EEV.
For my choice, I prefer the 260kW OM936h and
265kW OM470h. Perfect for Citaro 3 in SG.
