Seems odd, the numbers given by straits times does not really
tally with this.
In the straits times, $7.96 million in savings for both sbst and
smrt. Total of 419 buses, 119 going to smrt, 300 to sbst.
In average, smrt saves $16 500 per vehicle for 119buses,
while sbst saves $20 000 per vehicle for 300 buses.
Since ARF is 5% of the OMV,
average OMV for smrt is $330 000 and for sbst is $400 000.
Since sbst is known to be getting DD, there's no way bendies
come cheaper than the DD! Unless its made by somewhere in
asia.
I think they are all refering to single deckers. 300 should be
the Citaros that SBST had bought.
according to lianhe zao bao, SMRT & SBST are going to buy
119 and 300 new buses respectively- Bendies & Double decks
Read in today's ST.
There is no mention of any models that both companies are
buying. The 300 buses might just be the new Citaros that SBST is
buying.
The 119 buses for SMRT is most likely single deckers replacing
the first batch of O405s.
