The "standard" is quite useless if its poorly maintained.
That said, ok, the KUB isn't the best of the best, but it
certainly gets its job done.
Now that I take KUBs every other day, I've come to appreciate it
better. Its low rpm gear settings, I've come to appreciate when the
BC wants to drive slow, its generous legroom and its "dull"
interior actually makes it quite appealing for people who just want
to sleep on the bus in comfort.
And quite surprisingly, the KUB actually packs more power than
meets the eye: A KUB that's floored is significantly faster in
pick-up than the MKIVs which I already consider to be not bad
alr.
About the only thing I still dislike is its tendency to release
brakes suddenly before moving off. I can live with just about
anything else.
The only thing i dont like about KUB is some of them, have the
infamous heat wave that spreads rapidly throughout the rear of the
bus especially on a hot day. One can feel as if its an oven. Other
than that, its quite a good bus actually.
