Possibly 1-2 years. That was when SBS345G was made to stay on Sv 100 at HGDEP, when Sv 100 become under HGDEP.

Also SBS535A used to be from HGDEP

But can you tell me why some SMRT bus services did not use bendies and what are the rules & regulations of using bendies on SMRT Buses?

One of the points is the turning constraints along its route. For example, 858 cannot use bendies for this route because of the turning constraints at Changi Airport PTB.

Svcs 920, 922, 945, 947 are still allowed to use bendies in the event that any of their perms had breakdown.

Sv 171 are allowed to use 1 bendy when there is any major events going on at Suntec City eg. PC Show.

Yes, they ply between Changi Airport and major hotels along the Orchard area..

But 219, 241, 865 & 866 were renumbered by SBS apparently without much issues to 229, 331, 85 & 86 respectively in 11/99.

For your statement, the services renumbered was owned by SBS, and 171 is TIBS.

it terminated at Geylang Lor 1 somewhere somehow then when Suntec was more developed they extended it to loop there.

It was introduced in 1992, to replace the amended service 73 and the withdrawn service 71. Service 71 plied from Old Upp Thomson to Lor 1 Geylang.

I remember 3-4 years back... IKEA introduce this Shuttle Service using SBST and SMRT buses with the IKEA ad... i remember it was from tampines,boon lay, bedok?, Ang Mo Kio to Alexandra IKEA (at tat time Tampines Ikea still Under construction). I think by the end of 2007, ALL the shuttle services were withdrawn...

no, 858 was already here since 1996 but it was once a wdl-yis loop service before it got extended to airport in 1997

SBS was forced to handover Sembawang & Marsiling incl 204 & 208 (today's 925) to Tibs in 1983.

1) 858 was introduced in 1996, while 185 & 989 merged to become 985 in 2003.

No. They had SBS handovered services since the TIBS had started.

No. They had SBS handovered services since the TIBS had started.

171 was a SBS Sv. In fact it used to ply Mandai Zoo before 138 came about.
