http://www.straitstimes.com/BreakingNews/Singapore/Story/STIStory_517240.html

97, 97E, 106, 133, 502, 518, NR1 and NR6 will be rerouted to ply the new road network.

Commuters can reach the resort by taking the MRT to the Marina Bay station on the North-South Line, and then take buses 133, 97, 97E or 106 to the resort.

looks like Marina Bay Station & its surrounding bus-stops will not be dead afterall... lol

Sv 133M is like a competitor to SMRT's RWS8. Expected this to happen. Best part is that 502 no longer have to get stuck at PIE on return trip to SLBP.

AYE no jam you mean? if there is accidents, still will have jam....

lemon1974 SG

I was expecting 133M will be a alternative route to ply bet AMK to Marina Ctr (Loop). In the Other Words SWT 133A is perm withdraw right?

dun think it will withdraw... during morning peak, think still have 133A. dun think the demand back to AMK is great also in morning peak..

133A can be replaced by a forward route of 133 to Shenton Way then buses can off service back to amk for its next trip..

SBST never hit back? How about 30R from BDK to RWS?

Anyway, route 97 is now the Gamblers' Express. Pass by not 1 but 2 IRs.

Priority is elsewhere seriously

1) Growing demand for bus svs as New Towns get more developed w/ Sengkang & Punggol flats TOP. Needless to mention Ind Est development.

2) Growing uni & poly intake.

3) SUTD

4) Possibly more buses pulled for cross border svs thks to IDR.

5) Marina Bay Financial District.
