why dont they give the refund on each commuter's next travel?

with everything computerised nowadays i am sure there are better ways to do it.

anyway they know very well a lot of people wont be bother coz its ONLY a few cents.

the trouble and the time take definitely surpassed the overcharged-amount. refund or not its a lose-lose situation for commuters.

anyone knows who is the one who came up with the distance fare idea? a scholar?

They should just donate to charity. 9 out of 10 don't check their ez links when they tap out. How to claim refund? Even if claim, fill in the bloody form and queue just to get a few dollars back....what's the big deal?

Most of the higher ranking civil servants who make the decisions are scholars. If there are people down below who finds their ideas absurb, are they in the capacity to override them?

This is how singapore works, just shut up and follow orders, you want to keep your job or things made difficult for you?

can claim refund? think again....

who lives beside the place where you can seek refund? most don't. as such, we have to take either mrt or bus to reach there. this will incur cost which will go to their pockets.

thus, the take give you some, they take back some so in the end most will actually fork out more for transportation to seek refund than the amount to be refunded.

That's why when they tell me bus should charge like taxi by distance, they've owned themselves.

End up now same routing diff distance, worst than taxi
