If Singapore is so great, then why so many Singaporeans are thinking of migrating???It's still not too late, work hard, save up and move on to other better...

Don't think 246 and 249 will be relocated to Joo Koon Ter but rather services that serves the Jurong Industrial area nearer to Joo Koon MRT like 254, 255, 257 and 182 etc will move over.

But then when those svcs are relocated to Joo koon Ter those JIS on end on berths which have not been relocated to Joo Koon ter as well as svc 79 might switch to the saw tooth berth and amended to ply Jurong West St 64 (non stop) and Boon Lay Way just like 240. As you have noticed all the svcs from saw tooth turns left from the new int while those on the end on berth turns rights from the interchange for their route.

In the end things might becomes 30, 154, 157, 174 and 198 taking 4 slots each and 174e taking the remaining 2 slots.

if it's just a simple bus sv termination shift to Joo Koon, those deleted stretches nearer to BNL would end up be replaced by a new bus service. It might not help much

We shall wait and see LTA's first attempt to rationalise bus svs

funny sia, then those JE, Bedok and toa payoh BC mad liao? I saw them doing the orientation that day, it was quite wide and the same as the old int. My worries goes to the saw tooth berth.

If u look at my post earlier on, I was referring to the sawtooth. I knw it is wide, but don't forget that the entrance is a 2 way in & out (obvious). So when u think of it, it's more like a 90 degree turning in, not as bad as the Toa Payoh one. Almost 180 degree turning in.

bottomline is , the planning & design is screwed . very poor planning ..not enough space for bus to park,etc .

if u know the passenger load so high , , and you cant even really fit all the svc inside ... nvm ....

i believe sv79/174e berth will be used for alighting purpose mainly... or else,for eg, if the sv30 berth is full, where shall the passengers alight?

mainly for mealbreak periods when sv30, sv154 and sv157 need 3 bays, these buses can park there.

by right, notwithstanding the alternate trunk and feeder/JIS sequence, the services with heavier vehicular movements will occupy the innermost end-on berths to minimise the chance of buses from services near the exit from blocking the exit itself...

Eh, thinking about what I've said just now, I actually went by the back alley, the place where you can see the glass panel of McDonalds. If your camera lense is around 24mm, it will be able to fit through the fence and you can have a fun time snapping pictures.

You can enter via the following spots (if you dare, since those area have a signboard which says: Area Closed, No Access.):

1. JP2 B1, beside Stalford Learning Centre, escalator leads to JP1 Level 1 Taxi Stand.

2. JP2 Level 3, The Market Place, escalator outside Fairprice Xtra, leads directly to the interchange.

3. JP2 Level 1, beside the money exchange.

4. JP2 Level 1, Lift Lobby, where there is also a entrance to The Centris (residents only) on your right. Infront of you is the door to the interchange.

5. JP2 Level 1, near the Takeaway Alley.

Acess pt 1/2 are barricade with escalator company barriers

Acess pt 3/5 are seperated by locked metal shutter

Acess pt 4 doors is locked

I got a feeling end up ppl might purposely wait for 179 or 199 during AM peak towards BNL. The JP2 one gotta walk further to MRT stn if one were to take like 172, 241

Pity the Sv 174, Sv 154, Sv 157 & Sv 30 BC driving leylands when the new BNL int arrives. They all will have to steer like mad when turning into the interchange & reverse turning out of the sawtooth.

Why they need to steer like mad ?

Sv 179 & 199 BCs indicated that the NTU svs would only move in March. But one believe it might not even occur with the small bus interchange area
