crossover from where? YIS feeder? no other service in town operates O405Gs except 106 and even 106 has problems coping in the peak hours.

It's possible to take 1 or 2 supp. from S851. I find that a few of the bendies are running half-empty buses from BMR northbound during critical AM peak hours when they should be operating the other direction instead. By the time they reach YIS to operate another trip out the morning crowd would have turned smaller.

I will certainly agree that WLDEP is too far from Bt Batok Int. But for 190, it is just 4 bus from AMDEP. Not much difference. For svc 67, I also feel that Tampines Int is also quite far away from AMDEP. It should be full control by KJDEP.

is it because the timing for those particular runs will see a heavy PM peak crowd from town northbound? in contrast S851 southbound during the AM peak is flooded with OC500LEs at a relatively good frequency; however most of these trips are full to the door

I don't see any issue with the timings of the bendies during AM or PM peak, given that the bendies run on S shifts. And yesh, S851 frequency is good during AM peak southbound. 7 mins flat during AM peak, but mostly by the time buses reach Marymount bunching starts to occur...

Heard from 2 guys at SMRT buses that there are numbers of redeployment fro year 2010 from February onwards.One is reliable another is just a Senior SL.Anyway i just treat it as RUMOURS as it's not yet official

i don't think it would be a good idea, look, if 700 and 184 goes back to Woodlands it would be just far, whereas Kranji is near.

So AMDEP to Tampines is further than KJDEP to Tampines in your opinion? There will be a lot of dead running if KJDEP fully controls 67.

I dun think that WLDEP is too far away from Bt Panjang.Sometimes its the space of parking.Probably 700 stays for KJDEP where 184 will be handed to WLDEP.190 AMDEP 3 duties does not make any difference.AMDEP to Tampines int is nearer FYI,I've ever drive both 67 and 969.AMDEP-SLE-TPE you can reach Tampines under 30mins where for KJDEP to Tampines takes more than 45mins.I feel its redundant for 171 to have WLDEP part control.Its better if WLDEP takes 5-6 duties for 851 instead.178 and 187 i can understand there's need fo KJDEP to start at Boon Lay.

Pity those AMDEP SLs,Have to go far away from home ground to start or end work.

At least for KJ side they’re nearer to BBT,BPJ,CCK @ BNL.WL side near to WDL,BPJ,SBW and YIS too where AM side have to start or change shift at Lor 1,Eunos,Bedok,Tampines,MCT,The nearest is YIS and SBW.Well cant do much either as they got the smallest depot in Singapore.I feel that AM an kope 1 bendy from [email protected] each and replace them with OCs for 171

Another option is too loop 77 and 106 at Marina Ctr,then the AM 106 bendies can deply on 171 then.. WLDEP can squeeze to almost 346 buses,AMDEP can manage only 164 while KJDEP can do 189,Yishun Int 70 the most and BBT manage 52.I hope that WLD int can do some overnight parking too.

i dun think u noe something called BKE + KJE. i always see the WL buses off svc-ing to BPJ by this route b4 the major redeployments last year.

deadheading is a waste of fuel such that supp trips are not recommended unless the return trip's load is less than a tenth of the heavier direction. since they have to come back to yishun, just let them come back by normal revenue service with a tighter running time matched with the loading.

the best way would be to just add a bus on 171 or arrange the supp trip from a YII feeder after having taken care of 10-minute ruling, which means it should be back to supp sometime between 7.20am to 8am, where a three-quarter shift can take over the YII feeder from there or by other methods of headway adjustment.
