i think only when the ELBOs & UDs r completely deregistered (not lay-up status), then WLDEP can take in OCs.

I dun think is case of overcrowding in WLDEP, if so why is WLDEP taking in 0405s from the other 2 depots rather than taking in new OCs?

UDs were supposed 2 be deregistered at the end of last yr, but still pending till now. Dunno y. If whole thing of deregistration delays, i tink the deregistration if ELBO would oso be delayed 2 nxt year too.

Supposingly too, tat's wat I heard. In fact the UDs lifespan ends officially around 1st quarter of next year. Just tat SMRT lay up the UDs early, perhaps the remaining UDs will continue to run till the lifespan ends. ELBO still got a few more years to run untill 2013 though.

Wonder WLDEP will 1st time intake OC. After removing TIB1248D on the road, there should be enough space 4 WLDEP, unlike KJ & AM which got all OC buses alr (not not enough space), unless they wan 2 throw the ex-WL Mercz lik 728, 763, 959, 960 back 2 WLDEP again.

TIB1248D laid up, but TIB745S TIB759C TIB780P came in from other depots

The chassis seems quite ok. Its the bodywork. Also, heard EABO turned into a Military supplies company le and not making bus bodyworks anymore.
