even 198 and 506 off service runtime from BBDEP to boon lay/bt merah/je doesnt seems quite long IMO.

bbdep is much nearer to je than slbp. But giving JE to bbdep means bbdep will max its resource and slbp is half empty.

Yeah, 160 and 506 under JE route group.

506 1st and last bus timings is reasonable for it to be under slbp, but no idea why it isn't. And 198 under slbp shouldn't be a problem as most of its starting and ending trips is at BNL int. But 198 practices jumpbus also, unless this system is changed to BNL.

I think slbp isn't that big enough to take in so many services.

Does 198 S-shift with 147? one thing i noticed is that the M1 ad on WAB is on 147,and it also does 198 occasionally

arbp has its constraints too. S63 fleet is so big under the east, it makes more sense for brbp to absorb the minority.

brbp land size is bigger than arbp mah, even 5 buses from arbp they dont mind squeezing in a bit.

does 198 s shift with 147? this sentence does not make sense. what u meant is does 198 crossover to 147? no. however 198 buses can be seen on 147 which indicates a cameo. this oculd have happened cos a 147 bus was not available and an available bus was taken from the depot. it could be a svc 198 bus.

let me break it down for you.

s shift is called split shift. s shift operates during peak hours, during am off peak, buses go back to the depot for swing till the afternoon peak.

198 under bbdep would decrease off svc mileage, technically bbdep is more centralised from bukit merah and boon lay.

crossover is a bus that is perm on a service that will go over to another service and a predetermined time period as stated on a timesheet as a scheduled event that happens on a regular basis.

cameo is a bus from another svc that may be deployed to do another svc for the day due to varied reasons such as breakdowns, suyou or on wash.

arbp is interchangeable with bbdep mah. bbdep keeps spare+perm service buses while arbp keeps only perm service buses.

buona vista services like 74 92 are under bbdep while 32 48 91 191 are under arbp.

buona vista services like 74 92 are under bbdep while 32 48 91 191 are under arbp.

looks like clementi, buona vista and bt merah have a mix of arbp and bbdep buses.

basically arbp and bbdep have a wide mix as a whole. in kent ridge we have 10 and 95 under ar and 33 and 151 under bb and ghim moh 92 under bb, 111 under ar also. this its not known why.

14 is there for historical reasons. I believe 175 is there is because at that time of BC recruitment there are more based in arbp than bbdep. The introduction of 5 175 has led to 96 moving from arbp to bbdep.

160 under bbdep is to consolidate all the JB Mk3s in 1 depot together, since 170 is also under bbdep and 160 from bbdep to Jurong East isnt that far..

198 under bbdep is due to off service mileage. This reason dates way back to a million years ago. Has no effect on current day's deployment reasoning.

slbp still has space.. but not logical for them to do so.. imagine 198 full slbp.. possible since 174 is also under full slbp but since its not broken, why fix it?

How about svc 63 ? why BRBP fully control ? i tot BRBP no space ? maybe ben can ans this... sorry if i ask this coz i dunno =)

3. brbp still have space to park. Just go to brbp at 2.30am.

bndep is currently overloaded.

serangoon amdep > hgdep, eunos hgdep > brbp, bishan brbp > amdep. during 2003 due to NEL rationalisation. they want hgdep to operate on the northeast corridor, thus, the transfer. it takes only about 15mins to get from eunos to brbp.

Its 2004. It takes 20-22min brbp-> eunos. about 15-19min from eunos -> brbp

Just to clarify, SBS 8902X is a fleet addition 1 S shift into 199, meaning SBS 8443D did not leave 199.
