Asphalt is a mixture of bitumen and gravel/sand heated to an
excess of 190 deg C in a plant and transported to job site.
Temperature of the asphalt must be at least 160 deg C
before being paved.
A cold milling machine skims a layer of the road surface
(50~75mm). New asphalt is dump into the hopper of a Asphalt
Finisher for paving.
The compaction is done by a tyre roller follow by a vibration
tandem roller. A laser leveler is used when paving new or long
road.
Thermoplastic paint is pour into a road marking machine to mark
the road.
WOW! You work in this environment? How you know all the steps
and quality? I'm only interested when they are resurfacing the
road, just have a habit to watch them resurfacing, is like quite
fun to see and how they cover up the old road..
Anyway thanks for sharing the information with us:)
