Currently is about 20 mins for PM Peak for direction 1 and around 17 mins for direction 2(approx)
But today, i wait @ bus stop (off peak). One 506 came, 5 mins later, another empty one came Laughing 1 JB MK3,1 strider

Merge Service 300 with Service 302 into Intratown 301

Hence, there can be a fleet reduction of 1 - 2 buses for Sv172 or Sv307.

SMRT also have no money to run business compared to SBST. SMRT buses are not as clean as SBST buses and worse till, SMRT reuse old CSS Nissan Buses instead of buying newer buses, whereas SBST put in effort to buy Volvo CNGs and B9TLs.

Agreed , The last SMRT Newer bus is actually the Habit bendy in fact (TIB1247G). But somehow i think SMRT won't buy new buses but instead re-use the CSS Nissan Sad

I suggest merge Sv181 with Sv240 to form a Townlink service. How u guys think?

181 and 240 together might be too long. If they wanted to merge, probably merge 243 and 181 instead. 243 can go to Gek Poh and then turn out to Jurong West Ave 5 the 181 way, loop back and then continue back on the 243 route. 243 and 181 routes presently are just slightly more than 20min each round. So probably the entire route if merged would be around 30-35min.

181 - Jurong West Ave 3(Loop) reduce the stress of svc 243 & might be extended when the area is developed.

240 - Jln Ahmad Ibrahim(Loop) bring people Boon Lay Gdns/Taman Jurong areas

Try taking the whole route of svc 240 & see if you still want to integrate svc 240 with svc 181... Cool

Or try integrating svc 242 with svc 243... Mr. Green

242 have ultra good ridership/frequency, this may boost sv243's frequency if they merged Mr. Green

242 is another one of SBST's highest frequency routes, getting up to 1min scheduled frequency in the morning peak, as with 179... Laughing
I feel 243's frequency can be improved further, frequently see people packed to the door in the evening peak.
181's frequency is bad as well, but the demand is not there, the buses still don't get full after 15mins.
