tanjun SG 980 loads are also high during weekday evening peak when it reaches the bus stop at Dieppe Barracks. It will be 70% to 90 plus% full and sometimes the BC doesn't stop. I guess the main problem is freq of 980. 980 in morning and evening peak sadly to say is not as high as 169 be it both directions if i consider freq. Thus, I guess that's why 169 is so pampered. But I still think 980 deserves more perm buses.
off_service SG I think service 980 weekday freq is about 15 mins. Only Sundays certain trips have shorter headway.
muziq bus SG seriously, when its morn off peak from town to wdl, demand is really low. no need for bendy. and, from 8pm to end of operation, demand from wdl to town oso not that great... so full bendy is not worth it...since they already tested

TIB1018B SG If I am not mistaken almost all of the AMDEP 980 perm drivers have driven bendies on service 980 before, they take turns to drive bendies depending on their shift timings which they cover on that particular Sunday. When is a standby driver, service 980 will stick back to rigid perm regardless of shift timings. For WLDEP side I remember there are also 3-4 perm 980 drivers who can drive bendies too. Always and ocasionally they get to drive bendies when they are scheduled to drive the PM peak extra bus shift (980 PM16).

vivienlee SG Very pissed off with the 980 during sundays since holidays SMRT reduce no of bendies n sv 980, put 2 bendies on sv 169 instead where demand is lower on sundays. Worse till when WLDEP cover AMDEP's duties on Sundays, WLDEP dumped CSS182Y on sv 980 whereas AMDEP had TIB1055T on the same timeslot in the past At least AMDEP had 2 bendies on 980 2day . Dun think is due to inufficient bendies but rather WLDEP show favourtism on sv 169 instead n dun care abt sv 980's crowd problems .
Raraken SG Like 859 off-peak? I see the Bendy buses like near empty. If use rigid I think only half full. But peak hour then is different.
