Have you ever wonder how drastic has bus routes change from then and now?

For example

10 ( Tampinese -> Clementi [ then] , Kent Ridge [ Now]
197 ( Bedok -> Boon Lay [ then ] , Jurong East [ Now]
198 ( Jurong East [ then ] -> Sims Place [ then]
Boon Lay [ Now ] -> Bukit Merah )

SO drastic that i prefer the old routes.. rather then the "new" routes

At my hse there, major route change is 103 after NEL rationalisation. They cut 103 and withdraw 501 and 502.

However, new services such as 43 and 109 are intorduced.

161 was SBW Rd End to Shenton Way (used to run by TIBS) -> it was re intro as HG Ctrl - Woodlands Service in 2002

180 was Adm Rd Ter to WTC service, later withdrawn, and re intro in 1995 as Bt Panjang - Boon Lay service.

372 was Woodlands Int to Marsiling Rd service (by TIBS also), was reintro by SBS in 2000 as Sengkang - to compassvale Dr (Loop service)

And 950, whoa.. first TIBS service with FAC status, dat was in 1989, Marsiling to shenton way Service, Reintro in 2004, it is now Woodlands to Kotaraya II Ter(JB) Service

When svc 197 took took over svc 41's Bedok - Bukit Merah Road. It was already re-routed to Jurong East, not Boon Lay.

182: jurong - upp bt timah rd via town

alter cut short to end around mraina

later back extend to woodlands

then withdraw after AC

then out pops this jurong east - tuas 182

later cuts back to boon lay

regards to 197 is jurong to geylang lor 1. then extended to bedok after eating up poor bus 41

at one time 390 hit the ECP via ophir road. that was its first ver of routing. it went by selegie rd even. 390 was intro with the CGA plan. whereby suddenly u have 390 391 392 393 and 394 in 1981.

the older 149 in the Chinese bus co days as TOA PAYOH - Outram bus ter.

31 used to terminate at Kallang park bus ter if i not wrong.

301 is like todays premium service. Blue arrow service was its branding. think copy a certain UK coach co called blue arrow in 1980s.

the so called 3 then came from chiense bus company days. it used to end at NBR ter only.

as for 28 the older 28 was Tampines - new bidge rd ter. it even used lo2x.

i remember seeing 28 and or 147 on dunno some weird deviation of leyland Axxxxxxxx? the bus has like very small rectangular front desto holder and it's definitely not in round corners and the wheel outline of the bus is not round but somehow like trapezium....pardon me if my description is go yak.... Neutral
