ezlink card

Hmm, last time I got try is tap on the front when entry, and exit over 20 stages and tap on the front, saw 'New Entry' on the screen. This means I have got deducted full fare, but 0.65 cause the bus terminates at Bukit Batok, a few bus stops down.
So I guess it works like that...

i often see ppl tapping at the exit only to be sounded with 5 fast beeps.. then BC ask the passenger to alight at the front and tapping the card at the front reader..

if passenger did not tap when boarding, isnt he/she paying full fare for tapping at the front when alighting???

pls clarify thanks!

yes. sometimes i wish they just alight and dun waste our time and their money. give and take. i noe even ezlink sometimes overcharges. Rolling Eyes

but for me, never had such an issue. Laughing if u wan fast taps, use the card exposed. Embarassed

The correct way to do when you kenna is to go up front, tap on the front ezlink reader, proceed to the back and tap the rear exit only reader, you will only be deducted minimal fare ie. $0.65.
Of course there is back door, zhao loh...

If you want to ensure that the correct fare is deducted, make sure the EZ link reader at the front states “entry/EXIT” before tapping on it.

yeah, but i'll just alight. but then, i never encountered such a situation before. Laughing

precisely, how can u do an entry 2 times??? Rolling Eyes

To encounter the problem you need to tap rapidly after the person before you, so much so the reader cannot detect your card at all. If the reader can detect but cannot complete the loop function of deducting the fare, then there will be that 'beep beep beep beep beep' thing and BC will look at you. If BC is not looking, some would even walk past and no tap. Some older readers have slow response time as I saw, so its like cheating...

Ok, I will try your recipe some day. Laughing

who would be so dumb to walk back and let them deduct 60 cents Laughing

only the older generation would do cause they dun understand the english....

Yeah... Sometimes I forget to tap at the front, but I no brain, still go and tap when alighting. Then the display will ask me to "Board at entry, etc"... Then I just quickly get off the bus! Laughing
