the VO2X seat spaces at the upper deck [expect for the first right hand side window before the staircase] are really far and wide apart compared to a VO3X and even B9TL, and the seat spaces at the back for 5 ppl become only 4 ppl can sit. the horizontal face-to-face seats on the back wheels for 3 ppl also 'purposely' using alot of space.

conclusion: VO2X unable to handle high passenger capacity. even the normal number of standees also hard to have more than abt 20 at most.

even the LO2X which had almost the same window pattern/ bus length has more seats than VO2X.

Good! Not like those VO3x which u might squeeze ur legs in between the sits. Sometimes, the plastics might break because of that! BTW, it is comfortable.. Already, Non- aircon and u still expect passangers to squeeze together like in the MRT?

somewhere "in-the-middle" still the best. the space on B9TL/VSO considered quite roomy and comfortable. the space on 1st batch VO3X also not very squeezy; although the former arrangement still best la. as for MK2 NAC/1799 [CAC], the spacing already quite narrow. needless to say, MK2 CAC's seat spacing even lesser due to the seat design which is found on all CAC/VO3X batch 2/3 and some MK3s.

honestly, the arrangement on VO2X really quite weird... Shocked

when u sy blower u mean roof mounted air blowing system like the leyland national 2. the correct term may be ventilator or air vento

But some 154 VO2x perms have forced in 5 seats in the back row. The backrest has 4 big cushions but the part you sit on has 5 seats, the same type as those found on LO3x, VO3x batch 1. Laughing

If cannot carry a lot of ppl, then it should not have deployed on svc 74. Its always packed in the morning peak (Towards Buona Vista).

Maybe they put 1 more pair of wheel at the back. Surprised I don't think it will happen, they may have to change the body, buy new one better.

@stooper: maybe because the original VO2X parts now like no longer available so use something similar?

You cannot come to a conclusion that a particular bus is unable to withstand heavy loads just from the number of seats. How much weight a vehicle is designed to carry is specified as the Gross Vehicle Weight. This is determined by the manufacturer. The VO2X is rated to carry 26 standees, more when packed from back to front. Crammed full VO2X buses can be seen at Boon Lay every morning and evening. Quite sturdy fellows, those buggers.

The VO2X has 12 rows of seats on the upper deck as compared to the LO2X with 14 rows. 2 rows less make way for more legroom; not because the bus can't take it. The VO2X is basically a LO2X with Volvo parts and engines anyway.

i must say that the VO2X can also speed well even when cramped… saw speedometer at 60 before once while on boon lay way.
