Apex-LW'21 SG SOmething very curious when I checked the old bus guides at NLB last Wednesday... On the 1985 bus guide: There was 'Whampoa Rd Terminal', I think it was renamed as 'St Michael's terminal'? On the 1984 Faretable book: Sv 171 faretable has typo error, 'Sembawang' spelt as 'Sempawang'. On the TL Guide '95: Sv 952 timetable. Supposed to be 'Marina Ctr', instead they spelt it as 'Marsiling Ctr'. just to name a few errors only... I believe there are lot more.
^tamago^ SG pratically every yr will have.... but why are u telling us about past guides? wat difference does it make knowing a 1985 guide got error? lols. and sadly, i have the 1985 bus guide with me.... i didn't see a "whampoa rd terminal" on services 120, 122, 123, 124, 125 and 126... u trying to smoke us?
Apex-LW'21 SG Hmm... let me see... it should be the 1984 fare-table, NOT the 1985 bus guide. Ignore the 1st quote on my original post. BTW, Sv 149 has errors too on the 1984 fare-table guide. One part supposed to be 'Toa Payoh Interchange'. Instead, it was listed as 'Toa Payoh Central Terminal' To add-on: Found out something while checking the 1976 Bus Guide at NLB, Sv 171 used to terminate at Mandai Rd Terminal. (Note that the 1976 Bus Guide is a bus map)
^tamago^ SG good one. 1976 is inside closed stacks, right? how many posts do u wan to fill with one description at a time? mandai rd terminal was subsequently renamed as sembawang terminal. current-day location is transit rd.
Apex-LW'21 SG Yup, it is located in closed stacks. On the map, I also saw the small terminals like 'International Rd Terminal', 'Benoi Rd Terminal', etc. at that time before SBS fragmentise those existing small bus terminals around Jurong Ind Est, like the 2 above-mentioned ones into 'Jurong Interchange'. There are also some other terminals on the map, I will not mentioned ALL the bus terminals that existed at that time. If you are free, you may wish to visit NLB and request for the 1976 bus guide in the closed stacks. Take a look at it, it is very interesting!
