The_Bus_Guide SG 999U was the same length as the SMRT bendys. 998Y was just 1 metre longer because of its funny tapered rear. It it was built flat, it would be the same length.
samtlk SG http://www.sbstransit.com.sg/about/memorylane.aspx#1990 SBS Transit only had two articulated buses and this was one of them and with its length, it was Asias longest bus. Due to the difficulty in maneuvering such buses and the fact it took up more road space, SBS Transit has ceased the use of such buses. Length: 19 m
SBS3625D SG Economies of scale dude. You need to have a large fleet of such buses to justify its existence. No point having 2 one-of-a-kinds requiring 2 additional types of spare parts and so on.
SBS BUSES LOVER SG A better question would be : Where on earth is 3731E ??????? Last seen on svc 502 as a 502 perm
stooper SG What about 1784R (SL 192)? Has anyone seen it around lately? I believe 1702C is the bus that is cameoing for it daily. And also 1782X (SL 154). Has anyone seen it around? Nowadays, 154 seldom see MK2s. 1780B cameoing almost daily on the JIS svcs. Both are not in lay up status.
