SBS9889U SG SMRT Link want to gop all SBST's business in Chinatown, 2 shuttle from Outram Park and Dhoby Ghaut. The Outram Park one would not really affect SBS Transit coz very very short distance but with the Dhoby Ghaut Shuttle, SBST 124/174 will suffer a bit and even their own SMRT 190 will suffer SMRT also a bit smart la, knowing that SBST getting profit from Dhoby Ghaut to Chinatown by MRT n Bus, then come up with this Express SMRT Link. They might as well offer free boarding of Sv190 from Dhoby Ghaut to New Bridge Rd Ter and free trip from New Bridge Rd Ter to like Park Mall Another thing is those SMRT Link Shuttle have their own advertisement. Is SMRT like earning a lot to make the ads? Or will it be following Citybuzz by earning profit from advertisements? If they follow Citybuzz, i advise SMRT to deploy bendies on these shuttle
sbst275 SG From CCK/ BPJ might as well take 190 straight... Take MRT gotta make x-fer at Jurong East As again, if take train might as well take train connection fully if it's served by MRT
Acx1688 SG Strange SMRT is introdusing a FREE shuttle service to link the stations up. It doesnt make any business sense as it's not making money from providing FREE service. If it wants to please existing cx,y not save the $$, buy new wheelchair accessible buses for Singapore citizens or improving the frequency of heavy routes like sv902 instead of doing insane things like providing free services wic eat into their own routes[sv 190]? It only shows SMRT mgt do not think before they execute a plan. In addition, by providing a free service, SMRT can use the excuse to INCREASE their bus fare when they meet up w PTC...
