question for svc 13:
i noticed that svc 13 was originally a kg chai chee to ghim moh
service originally, and that it was extended to bedok interchange
when chai chee terminal was demolished. afterwards, it became a
bedok - ghim moh service. when did the service change to the
previous Eunos - Yio Chu Kang service? was the service
re-introduced?
Service 15: Re-introduced in 1995. Between Pasir Ris interchange
and Eunos interchange. In 1997, merged with service M4 and extended
to Marine Parade. Used to ply Marine Cres in both directions and
Marine Terrace towards Pasir Ris, sectors deleted later. --> i
believe this service only plied marine crescent for both directions
only, never did ply marine terrace for return trip to pasir
ris.
Service 18: Loop service between Tampines interchange and Bedok
interchange. No route change. --> service 18 was originally a
Bedok - Tampines St 22 loop service. service was extended to
tampines interchange via ave 2, ave 7, central 3 and central 1 when
it was opened, skipping tampines st 22 totally, and amended to
become a tampines interchange to bedok interchange loop
service.
Service 62: Between Hougang South interchange and Rumah Tinggi
terminal, shortened to New Bridge Rd terminal in 1993. On Sunday 07
Dec 2003, amended to ply as a loop service between Punggol
temporary interchange and Lor 1 Geylang, under NEL rationalisation
phase 3. --> service 62 was amended to hougang south interchange
due to the abolishment of macpherson terminal in 1992 i think,
skipping macpherson estate totally. svc 63 was then introduced to
cover the lost link.
Service 290: Feeder service between Tampines interchange and Simei
St 3. On Sunday 07 Apr 2002, merged with service 220 to become
service 38. --> original svc 290 had skipped simei street

Service 292: Feeder service between Tampines interchange and
Tampines St 22. No route change. --> original svc 292 did not
ply tampines st 11
Service 293: Feeder service between Tampines interchange and
Tampines St 84. In 1996, merged with service 297 to become Townlink
service 293. In 1997, extended to St 71 via Ave 8 and Ave 5,
skipping St 81 and St 84. --> original svc 293 plied tampines
interchange to tampines street 81 only, later extended to tampines
street 84.
Service 297: Feeder service between Tampines interchange and
Tampines St 45. In 1996, merged with service 293 to become Townlink
service 293. --> original svc 297 plied between tampines
interchange to tampines street 42, via central 1, central 3, ave 7,
ave 9, st 42, ave 7, central 3 and central 1, before being extended
to cover further the northern part of the estate.[/b]
