Can anybody tell me more about the older buses, those engines in the font ?, like the OF's, MB 03xx, Leyland Victory, the Vkings ? Because I was born in 1992...

In 2003, LO2x serving 28 are from Braddell Depot. The retirement begans when service 28 are replaced by new VSOs.

On 27 July 2003, all LO2x in Central Districts (AMK Depots & Braddell Depots) that were plying on services 70, 90, 107, 154, 186 and 410 were retired from SBST.

SBS had 5 MB 811D mini-buses in 1993. They were deployed on services M1 & M2. When the Dennis Dart replaced the 811Ds, the 811Ds were deployed on service 20.

On 27 Nov 2000, when svc 20 was integrated with svc 125, the MB 811D were appeared on svc 323.

In Jun 2002, their final deployment of 811D was on svc 42, 182 & 183. SBS8005K has a new SBS Transit livery before all 5 were withdrawn and sold in Feb 2003.[/b]

I also know that LO2x was from Ang Mo Kio Depot and Soon Lee Bus Park in the beginning of 2003.

LO2x Deployment in 2003:
AMK Dep: Svc 70, 107 & 186
BRAM: Svc 28, 410
SLBP: Svc 78, 154, 157, 179, 182, 192, 193, 242, 243, 246, 249, 251, 252, 254, 255, 257, 333, 334 & 335

LO2x on Svc 28: VSOs were being replaced. LO2x retirement began in Feb 2003.

LO2x on Svc 70, 90, 107, 186 & 410: LO2x on these services were retired on 27 July 2003.

LO2x on Svc 154: LO2x on Svc 154 were removed from its deployment on 1st Sep 2003.

LO2x on Svc 78, 157, 179, 182, 192, 193, 242, 243, 246, 249, 251, 252, 254, 255, 257, 333, 334 & 335: LO2x based on SLBP are actually to be withdrawn on 30th Sep 2003 but the statutory life of these 30 LO2x were extended until end 2003. The LO2x in SLBP were finally retired on 30th Nov 2003.

Airbus330captain were asking abt the LO2x on the OLD SV 28 (Tampines to New Bridge Rd), not the current SV 28 from Toa Payoh to Tampines.
Btw, SV154 does not based at Braddell in 2003. It uses LO2x from SLBP/Old Jurong Depot. SV70/107/186 are all from AMK Depot.

The old SV28 uses LO2x from Braddell Depot.. If i remember correctly, it uses buses from SV140, after SV140 was withdraw.

The OLD Service 28 (Tampines to New Bridge Rd) was cut short to Toa Payoh during the 2003 NEL rationalisation.

I know SBS6907X plies on Svc 140.

Sorry to tell you but the old service 28 was withdrawn from service in the 90s not 2003. I think you are confused with the current 28. 28 was reintroduced (Tampines to Bedok loop service ) . Later on , She took over 152's Bedok-Toa Payoh sector to become Tampines to Toa Payoh route.

My question earlier was regarding the old service 28 not the current one. Hope this clears up the confusion.

6907X is still with us! It is the bus used as a clubhouse at Youth Park. Another LO2x survivor is 7196Z which is now known as "Boobie the Gymbus".

28 (TAM-NBR) was pulled out during the 1992 rationalisation to avoid duplication with 2. Suhirman has a photo of a LO2X on the old svc 28 @ NBR. Didn’t know BNDEP had them too.

I also known that last phase of Leyland Atlantean AN68/2R buses were withdrawn in 2000. Their rego ranges are 49xx & 56xx.

It was seen serving Townlink feeder services in Bedok & Tampines before its withdrawal.

VO2x were used on these services when the LAs retired.

385 only had not more than 5 MB0305 DDs.

There are about 3 to 4 LO2x serving Boon Lay feeder & Jurong Industrial Svc in Nov 2003. Most of the Jurong Industrial Svc are currently using the VO2x as the LO2x disappears gradually. I think SBS7164R is one of the LO2x left on the fleet.
