IsIsTRD SG Heard from a source that SBST is bringing in 150 wheel chair accessible buses this year. At least 2/3 of the bus fleet will be wheelchair-accessible in 7 yrs time based on the operatorsÂ’ yearly fleet replacement programmes. so by 2023 all public buses can be expected to be wheelchair-accessible.
^tamago^ SG yes. there was an introduction ceremony held today at the SBST HQ on the Wheelchair Accessible Bus (WAB) prototype, with Minister of Transport as the guest. that is all we have, we shall have to continue waiting for the B9TL's to be bodied up.

alex_cai92 SG hey guys B9TL was featured in the Chn 6.30pm news. The ramp is at the back of the bus only and is manual operated, meaning the BC will haf to pull the ramp himself. the design is quite similar to 9889 and the upp deck side windows had a sticker tat says sumthing like thihs: Singapore 1st wheelchair friendly bus. and our minister said tat most of the cost is covered by them so tat pax do nt nid to pay higher fares.

iveco SG The ramp is manaul operated? Those on Transperth Merc O405NHs are at the front and button operated. There is a flashing light when the ramp extends out.
