Hmmm.. notice now a lot of buses introduced originating from the North East sector. Is it now a lucrative route (new estates) or are they just filling in ga...

tranquilice SG

TL guide 2006 states for service 980 that passengers cannot board but can alight at this terminal.

PhyrePhox SG

Reversed to that of Clementi where west-bound buses from Commonwealth Ave West cannot alight passengers. Surprised

tranquilice SG

Correct me if there's any errors.

Clementi interchange only has one alighting berth. To minimise congestion at the alighting area, these mentioned services do not alight passengers at the interchange. Furthermore, it is just a short walk to the interchange from the alighting bus stop.

tranquilice SG

In addition, Clementi - Upp Thomson connection will be faster with service 52 compared to taking service 165.

iveco SG

I'm sure svc 52 to J-8 is much faster than 156.

tranquilice SG

It's even faster if service 52 ply Bishan St 21. Laughing

105090 SG

mixed reactions.
firstly, 43 will give me another link to paya lebar from Yio Chu Kang Rd, and one direct link to Maribne Parade. last time have to take 3 buses to reach MP. my bet is 43 will do better than 52 and 59 as 43 passes by PGL SKG HG to MP, all those high density young housing estates

52 also may benefit me, can take from clementi Rd to MacRitchie then to AMK, and bypass Bt Timah Schools b ut then it goes into sin ming ave and bishan st22.. the killer section experience on sv162!

59 also proposed well by going via toa payoh centre, unlike 58 and tampines. seems 59 will follow 29 route via netharavon rd into changi village. sounds promising!

Apex-LW'21 SG

Same as New Bridge Rd Ter

105090 SG

same as Changi Village Terminal for service 2 as well

Apex-LW'21 SG

In 2006, Clementi Int will be torn down since there will be a temporary interchange just opposite the current one.

PhyrePhox SG

Yeah.. construction work has already started at the new site. They're digging out the ground now. A few months back, they were drilling into sites around the current interchange and were doing some surveying.

Better take pictures of that place before it's long gone.

tanjun SG

Clementi Interchange is quite a nice place because I can buy a wafer, eat and at the same time wait for my bus. The shops are actually in the interchange itself. The only problem that it seems to be a bit small.

sbst275 SG

Like this serve lesser area mah Laughing

PhyrePhox SG

Haha.. tell me about it.. I remembered this place since I was a kid. It's the reason its quite small that it cannot take so many routes. I remember they always have to juggle the routes if they wanna put something new.

I wonder how a new interchange will be any bigger, unless they can hide the buses somewhere else.

Do you know which other interchange resembles Clementi Int most? I think the old AMK one does. Correct me if I'm wrong.

SGEMP SG

Wah! Very mean sia. Better if it could expand.

I believe that to the left of UEC there are large spaces for SBST to conduct the expansion.

SGEMP SG

Well once I have the time I would do it.

musli_bar SG

Yup, 43 will lighten the load of 55! Laughing

sinicker SG

sad that it actually doesnt go thru there.

tranquilice SG

No, from the map on the poster, it is clearly shown that service 59 will not ply Cranwell Rd and Netheravon Rd.
