I think Acx1688 is referring to the service introduction posters attached to the bus stop poles.

I took 48 on Sunday from holland v to sim lim. The whole journey took less than 30min. It could be faster, it was a rainy afternoon, moreover the bus got caught in many traffic lights. The jam from bukit timah to rochor sucked up 5 minutes. Anyway I will give up on 61 on my next trip to bugis.

More will take 48 if there are more awareness.

japalang one la.. the 854 i took last time use the New Upp Changi Rd entrance.. what about sv38 , 196 , 197 ? (bedok south) also use New Upp Changi Rd or Bedok North Drive? i think is mainly for the sv7, 25, 32, 33, 608, 26 buses to exit via bedok nth drive easier..

105090 SG

Embarassed whoa.. i so tired.. never see that clear.. my apologies.. stil, i think sv48 can extend to Bedok via New Upp Changi Rd (same as sv9, 35 from tanah merah mrt till bdk int, not like sv14 beat bush around bedok nth rd)

iveco SG

If 48 were to be extended to BDK, some services may have to make room. 9, 35 or both may have to start from EUN instead since there is excess capacity over there.

tranquilice SG

Services 38 and 196 use Bedok North Ave 1 and Bedok North Dr to enter the interchange while service 197 uses New Upp Changi Rd as it's using the single berth.

tranquilice SG

There are already 4 services (31, 196, 197 and 608.) connecting Marine Parade with Bedok. I don't see why there is a need for another service to Bedok.

sbst275 SG

Sv 35 can never start from ENS…

SBS9889U SG

Including 14,32,40( the MARINE PARADE and EAST COAST area)

tranquilice SG

They do not go to Marine Parade.

SBS9889U SG

You can walk a short distance.

ZYX2005 SG

people from bt tiah would love it if:-
48 goes bedok

people living in farrer rd would love it if
48 goes bedok

it does not mean that many service gg bedok from MP does not justify its change

an extended route might take enitrely diff routes from 196 197 or 31.
say it could go still rd and new upp cgi rd etc

hint : ZYX48 operates till marine parade only

Still Rd people can laways walk to Joo Chiat Place and take 33. For Bedok Reservoir, there is 15.

tranquilice SG

There's services 66 and 67 from Bt Timah to Bedok. Yes, both routes are long but service 48 going to Little India, Rochor, Marine Parade before "terminating at Bedok" is also not a short route.

IsIsTRD SG

Just a thought, Svc 48 can extend to Ponggol via ECP, TPE. Direct link for Ponggol resident to Marine Parade.

sbst275 SG

Punggol21???

Forget it... End up the rt is too long

^tamago^ SG

but hey, who knows, punggol to marine parade can actually be a feasible route after all (bypassing sk & hg), in my opinion.

IsIsTRD SG

You mean "long" in which part of the route? Ponggol21 to Marine Parade not "long" if go by expressway. You can reach within 15 to 20 mins by bus. Normally I would prefer to drive by this route using TPE then ECP. Still convenient to drive compare other alternative along Upp Serangoon, Hougang Ave 3 and etc.

tranquilice SG

What a weird route!

I don't think service 48 will become Punggol - Buona Vista via Marine Parade. Laughing

tranquilice SG

Agree. But not extending service 48 there.
