tranquilice SG By extending it to Bedok via Tanah Merah MRT will duplicates service 14. So few people? SBST can makes it Buona Vista - Siglap Rd (loop) anytime. It is possible.
payne SG Does Service 48 stops at the bus stop in front of Sim Lim Square? I mean the one at Rochor Canal Road.
samtlk SG think so...it does says Rochor Canal Rd on the map anyway in order to go from Rochor Rd to Rochor Canal Rd it will have to pass by there
NineGrains SG The map from the SBST press release indicates that the route includes Bedok South Ave 1. (See press release to verify yourself) So it does go to Bedok.
[email protected] SG I think he meant Bedok housing estate. The stretch that svc 48 passes through i will call it east coast.
Acx1688 SG Mayb coz Chai Chee area used to be dominated by 4 series buses>> Sv 40 Bedok - MacPherson[loop] Sv 41 Bedok - RedHill[merged w sv197 became sv197] sv 42 Originates from Chai Chee sv 44 Originates from Chai Chee plying part of present sv33 route. So 48 doesnt seem to be a surprise as UEC still part of Bedok
Acx1688 SG Plenty of potential imo! imagine from Tekka[fish head curry area-Race Course Rd] to Marine Parade no nd to get to Bugis or Lavender to tfr bus home! GD! However no DDs yet...
Acx1688 SG previously lah, sv48 probably be dominated by Striders[SBS2601D],DM3500[SBS2834Z,SBS2815D,SBS2719Z] & MK IIIs imo. BN DEP full ctrl. Total fleet 11-12 buses. IMO
tranquilice SG I doubt many will want to walk from Bugis Junction to Bras Basah Rd even if service 48 is non-existant.
payne SG Yeah!!! It will be easier to go Sim Lim Square. No need to walk so long to SLS if take Service 197 from Parkway.
^tamago^ SG my guess is that bndep will supply some Mk IV DM's from svc 9 like 976K, 977H & 994H, judging from the crazy cameos tat they are going on.
sbst275 SG With Sv 48, now is left with 6 Dunearn Rd bus stops, 5 Bt Timah Rd bus stops dominated by SMRT And Holland Ave, the Holland V bus stop, will have at least 1 SBS sv
tranquilice SG Going by what you said, service 853 also go to Bedok. And services 112 and 113 go to Tampines since they ply Tampines Rd.
