I would perfer if 48 stops right outside Bugis Junction. So from
Rochor Rd, the bus can turn into North Bridge Rd (Bugis Junction),
Stamford Rd, Prinsep St, Selegie Rd, then Bt Timah Rd. On the way
back bus can turn from Bt Timah Rd into Bencoolen St, Victoria St
(Bugis Junction), Ophir Rd then ECP. Think more people will take it
too, though I agree it is quite a detour, as opposed to going
straight along Rochor Rd.
I would also prefer the bus to go along 6th Ave, then to Holland V.
I dunno whether it is a feasible idea to extend to NUS (Kent
Ridge), since the frequencies of 95 and 48 are quite different.
Unless there can be something like 48A that plies from Buona Vista
to Kent Ridge.
I think it is not a good idea. Passengers want fast and direct
bus service. If the route has many detours, passengers have to pay
more on thier bus fare for getting to one place to another.
