iveco SG More like 987. And SBW MRT to Admiralty Rd West is served by 856. The closure of Admiralty Rd West terminal won't have a big impact, unlike that one at Sembawang End.
tib935k SG i got a copy of june news @ canberra magazine.on the first page,it says that ," residents will be happy to know that 5 bus routes serving sembawang new town will be revamped and one new bus route started as the bridge across the Sembawang River was completed in Aug 2004 and the new bus interchange next to the sun plaza should be completed by September 2005." source from news at canberra magazine(june 2005) by warren lee
off_service SG Current services in Sembawang Town: 167, 856, 859, 962, 980, 981, NR2 I think 981 and NR2 are the only ones not affected. Both 981 and NR2 might be starting from Sembawang Int: 981: Sembawang Int - Senoko Ind Est. NR2: Sembawang Int - Marina Centre (Loop) As for the other 5, at most is amendment of routes within Sembawang Town, or at most merger with other services. As for the new service, hope it won't be a stupid one.
phillipC SG Is Aug 2004 or Aug 2005? if 2005, which mean is this month. How they are going to introduce new route since they have shortage of buses. Some other services may be affected, maybe more UD buses will be seen on the roads!
off_service SG The bridge is already completed in 2004. Service 962 has plied the mentioned bridge following it's amendment in May 2005.
shinta SG ok i didn read thru.. maybe they could have a loop? pass by sembawang interchange n go on towards sembawang park n back to sembawang interchange?
off_service SG Services 859 and 962 are considered Intratown services. Services 911, 912 and 913 has been re-named to feeder. So for services within Sembawang Town will only be feeders.
iveco SG 859 & 962 seem more like inter-town routes (in the mould of 38, 60, 83 or 101) to me. The way SMRT treats the 2 services gives the impression that they do not consider SBW a New Town in its own right.
cck_190 SG Really? When did 911,912 and 913 was renamed? wow...i never knew. what about the Yishun intratowns?
iveco SG Hope there could be new services to PSR & PGL from SBW Int. 982: SBW to PSR via Canberra Link, YIS Ave 2, SLE, TPE, PSR Dr 8, Dr 1, Central, PSR Int. 983: SBW to PGL via Canberra Link, YIS Ave 2, SLE, TPE, PGL Rd, Central, Place, PGL Int.
off_service SG No idea. All former Intratown services, services 307, 811, 812, 911, 912 and 913 are now feeder services. I believe this change is the adopt the new meaning of "Intratown" services, example services 3 and 38 for SBST, services 965 and 969 for SMRT Buses.
