Have PTC ever consider the need of those residents being served
by SMRT.
I seriously doubt so.
If the operations rights in those north and west area not given up
by SMRT, it will never ever improve. Trust me. A live example is
Yew Tee.
Remember not long ago a reader from Zaobao, wrote to the forum
page, asking for a direct service from Bt Panjang and CCK area to
Toa Payoh and AMK area. The easy way out by the profit oriented
organisation is to say there isnt enough demand to justify the
service and there is a direct connection using the MRT/LRT
network.
Let's reflect what have SMRT done over the past one year.
Only one 950 was introduced to JB
Downgraded the bus fleet from MB to the ugliest and worst bus fleet
in Bt Panjang feeders services (namely 920 and 921), after asking
for a fare hike and despite the bloody public outcry from the
public.
Shortened the 175, and renamed 975
"Display thing'- which is quite reduntant! People want a more
decent and better bus connection, which helps to reduce the bus
fare and travelling time.
The public are not fancy about a LCD display which shows them where
they are. Trains frequency dropped, which is quite abvious for
us.
