Oh. Thier aircon smells like the furry seat but the air-con is quite strong and cold. It is shiok to sleep inside the bus. I remembered taking Sv 605 of Nissian NAC modified into AC one. The aircon was full blast on and the fan was on too! It was so cold inside man!

I am very sad that 605 is withdrawn... and ANGRY too ! It is such a good service. I've seen in the CSS website that they said why do CSS 605 withdrawn:

"605 has been withdrawn due to poor demand"
"There are more than 5 service at Upper Thomson Road serving towards downtown, so, we do not need service 605."
"Lakeview Shopping Centre has been dimolished, so ridership is falling"

this is quite true.. even its low fares failed to attract more passengers.
i remmebered my CSS trips were mainly to kill time and to ride on NISSAN buses..

Yes, you're right. But it is very cheap last time. Just 35 cents. If I am going to downtown, I will definitely take 605 because it is cheap, not crowded (even on peak hours) and short route too (Via Whitely road and steaven road).

I really REALLY miss the old days... and I really wish that CSS won't withdraw 608. Sometimes I goes to Marine Parade, I would take 608 to joyride and remise the good old days.

That time remember sit Sv 605 for bus ride only a few people sit the first and last time of it. So sad. I think they still can preserve it as it is cheap fares and many old people sit it which stay in the Bukit Merah that area. Now CSS the bus fleet is now all on Nissian UD only so sad.

As for I think, I think in the future they will either withdraw sv 608 or renumber it.

Service 608 will not be renumbered anymore (it was renumbered from CSS 8.). Most likely the service will has to go, it's just a matter of time.

Service 605 higher demand of the route was between Bt Merah interchange and Tiong Bahru MRT station. Service 131’s enhancement into Bt Purmei is to re-instate the link between Bt Purmei Ave and Telok Blangah Way.

If they withdraw the last service for CSS means that those old people staying in Bukit Merah or Hong Lim that area would not have cheaper bus fare to bring them round to their destination for Sv 608. Then what will happen to the company, will it fold down and what happened to the bus fleet? All go to SMRT one? But this won't solve the shortage of buses in SMRT. Hope they won't withdraw the service.

Yes, one thing about CSS is that they were the first company to have Senior Citizens fares (Cheap!) .
