then if air-cons are automatic, how does one explains the heating of SBS MB O405 especially? its famous for blowing warm air on hot afternoons.

esp if they use the single body one, not those bendy bus. aircon not cool enuf, and i check the display on top of the driver seat. it read 29'C. If he has any service orientation, he shld bring it down to a comfortable 26. How dumb.

2. 147
The ah-pek and ah-ma bus, a lot of old pple use this bus, esp via Chinatown to Little India. Also a lot of Indians using it. Smell assault. Laughing

3. 67
Senior citizen bus with loads of foreign construction worker. very smelly inside esp if aircon not strong using the single-body bus. So stuffy

Each person is entitled to his or her own views and curio is just expressing it out. You are NOT entitled to blame the transport provider if the problem is in no relation to the transport company providing the service.

Each service in Singapore got its own market of commuters using the service, be it old folks (33 147), working adults (36 100 196), students (31) or even foreign construction workers (23 66 67). Transport companies are there to provide the links between places. How these links are created are very dependent on the market that they are serving.

I wish that I could have your understanding on this matter.

Svc 851, SMRT should covert these buses into fully non-aircon services

Svc 147, This service is redundant after the opening of NEL. It has outlived its worth, hope SBST withdraw this service or truncate this svc from hougang central and terminate at serangoon interchange

Svc 67, the route is too long from tampines all the way to choa chu kang, the bus captains sure suffocate from the stench and the tiring drive. i think this service should terminate at Geylang Lor 1 terminal instead instead of proceeding to Tampines

SBST has intended Svc 147 to be the NEL anchor as they did with Svc 2 in the 1990s. Also, Svc 67 may be affected by the future BTM line that cuts a swath from BPJ down to Bugis. Expect no changes to these two routes now or in the near future.

Hey.. think before what you type hor.. WHo says that 147 is useless.. ?? If you bever board it doenst mean that it is Useless.. Every route is there for a purpose. And.... DO you Know that 147 is The only Service into town from Hougang other than 107.. ?? Alot of people depend on 147 to get to their destination. most people in hougang would rather take 147 than the NEL is because it saves them the trouble from transferring from one mode of transport to another mode of Transport. AND.... If you take away 147, Do YOU KNOW HOW MANY STUDENTS WILL BE AFFECTED BY THIS MOVES.. ?? In the NorthEast Region alone, 147 Passes by PeiCai Sec, ZhongHua Pri, Bowen Sec, XinMin Sec, XinMin Pri, Monfort Junior, Monfort Sec, Punggol Pri. And students from other school also depend on this service. And.. i dont think SBST WOULD W/d this service in the very first place.. Do you know that 147 is one of SBST's CashCow Service.. ?? I bet You DONT know this in the very first place.. If not, Why do you think SBST wuld wanna deploy 37 buses to this service in the first place ?? HAVE YOU EVER THINK ABOUT THIS OR NOT.. ?? Reason is simple.. Because this route is Ultra HIGH demand in a sense that even if you board this bus in the middle of the day.. lets say 3pm, you still can see that the 147 buses are usually 60% Full... Mind YOU.. 60% FULL DURING OFF-PEAK Hours Is not something which all other service can achieve.

In blue: 147 is my only direct bus to Chinatown liao, since 103 shortened to Serangoon Int. HG Ave 8 is quite far away from any NEL stations, even at Blk 400s and 500s also need to walk about 500m to reach Hougang station. There is still demand for 147.

In green: Serangoon Sec and Parry Pri Sch

It's just my 2 cents thought, afterall its the rationalism of SBST, what can we do? We can't boycott it, buses are our neccesities.

I totally agree with sbs_boy. Anyway, a grossly amended 147 plying from Hougang to Serangoon Interchange will be pointless.

s147 is a high demand route. remarkably i is crowded on all times of the day.

however lately its freq is falling.. thus i see mostly full buses.

if they do take 147 away a lot of complaints will follow. much much more than the fallout of the propsed fare hike i daresay

service i hate taking

170 drives me crazy with its 35 min freq but i am getting used to it lol. furthermore it sure is hard to get a proper tix on 170 since most of its pax hop ard on the 170 bsues and drop tix on wrong buses. say one guy takes SBS661 . he hops over to SBS668 while at chkpt. he drops the SBS661 tix in SBS668.

still 170 has been a cash cow for CW link tix. old font (ala SBS 80s tix style) new font ( ala validator tix style) u name it they drop it

service 147A terminates at bencoolen street but i once saw one 147A at hill street towards chinatown, not sure if have any pax, but quite obvious the bus is acting just like 147 route
