SWT- i guess is short working trip.

tanjun SG

I just feel that buses with short working trips still have the same frequency as before. It is just like there is no significant increase to the frequency of the bus with short working trips. I remember last time about some years ago when service 502 plies from Sengkang to Boon Lay, even with short working trips, the frequency of service 502 during peak hours is about 12 minutes and there are always no seats available when the buses come.

5454 SG

do any of you guys know the regos of the buses that was on the old SBS 190

Here goes[correct me if i m wrong,coz sv190 take a lot buses & plenty of cameos]

If SMRT had the monopoly on ALL subway lines, the VO3Xes would still be on 61 & 190. North Easterners could have all the bendies they want, as I believe 82 and 864 would still be around.

sBs_boy SG

82 is STILL around...

iveco SG

yes, 82 is still serving, but it is grossly truncated. It doesn't go to the CBD anymore.

supremebull SG

and the beach road/golden mile area is grossly under-served as a result…

iveco SG

I requested for 123 to operate from St Mikes & pass through this area en route to Bt Purmei last year, but it was thrown out. It also involved 36 covering the BMR-Orchard sector.

tranquilice SG

Extend service 107 to Punggol. Laughing

Alternatively, extend service 62 to Marina Centre via Kallang Rd, Crawford St, Beach Rd, then follows service 56 route.

iveco SG

It would duplicate 100 between Aljunied Rd and Raffles Hotel. I doubt SBST would consider it.

Acx1688 SG

i asked SBST before, they reject me flatly saying that it's not always possible to get to one place with just one bus, we need to do tfrs & blah, blah... v v irritatin...

SBS9810X SG

And does WL feeder svcs have DDs?

tranquilice SG

Which service did you asked? Confused 62 or 107?

Acx1688 SG

sv62 to Suntec [loop] SIGH...

Did SBS 190 ever start from BPJ when it was a new service? Was it extended to CCK when 179 (old) was axed?

Also, did 179 (old) originate from BBT only to be extended to CCK? Can anyone verify both queries?

cck_190 SG

190 was started in 1989 as a BPJ-NBR route. it was extended to CCK in 1990 when CCK int was opened.

If you mean old 179 as it the CCK 179, it started when CCK int opened as an Intertown Service.

iveco SG

Not that one. The very first version of Svc 179. I remember this service used to go to Scotts Rd.

sbst275 SG

There was a older Sv 179

cck_190 SG

sorry...can't help. i forgot already

tranquilice SG

Service 190 used to ply Jln Anak Bt and Dunearn Rd before amended to ply PIE and Whitley Rd in 1992/1993.
