kenny_cai SG I like Service 190 when CCK was still under SBST control. Articulated buses look nice, but can be a pain at times. Also, you're right. The frequency for Service 190 is very irregular. And yes, I do agree that the Golden Mile area is under served. However, both SBST and SMRTB are too short-sighted. They think the Circle Line will solve that problem, but now we'll have to wait until 2009. Think about it.
tranquilice SG I don't think many will choose to walk from Republic Ave to Beach Rd and vice-versa. A direct bus service to Beach Rd is more preferred.
Acx1688 SG sv179 used to ply between New Bridge Rd & Bukit Batok interchange via Eu Tong Sen St,Hill St,Victoria St, Rochor Rd, Rochor Canal Rd,Bukit Timah Rd,Upp Bukit Timah Rd, Old Jurong RD, BB East Ave 6,Ave 3... correct me if i m wrong...
Acx1688 SG Juz found out today: SMRT sv190 calls at bus stop os Clarke Quay station along Eu Tong Sen St
khk SG hi, i’m new here…agreed tt CCK was better under SBS…under tibs the freq became more erratic…w 2 to 3 buses coming at the same time…svc 190 was better w the DDs of sbs….now even w svc 700 serving bpj, u cannot get up 190 at whitley rd sometimes during peak hrs… had waited for 3 190s b4 successfully squeezing up one…tt was on a particular monday at ard 6-7pm
tranquilice SG Basically services 190, 700 and 960 are those which have overloading in only 1 direction during the weekdays peak hours, the loading in the other direction during these times is much lesser.
khk SG yah i noe abt tt...but the prob is quite bad...even w 3 svcs serving the same corridor...rem it wasn't so bad last time...mayb becos of new residential areas in bpj increasing the population there...
phillipC SG Obviously is SMRT fault! About 10 years since it took over 190 Still not much improvement! what the heck man, still ask got the cheek to ask for fare hike!
