If you are a bus captain, which route would you AVOID?

sbst275 SG

Industrial svs are demanding to drive as of the high demand. But during off peak (The full day trips) are very relaxing.

svc 35 has occasional VO3X cameos during weekends. Weekend fleet is full aircon, mostly Volvos. Weekday fleet AFAIK is full NAC Scania. same with svc 37.

IMO svc 36 is as lousy to drive as the routes you stated up there, have to get stuck in the stuffy airport basement for the whole day. Drivers get only 135 - 150min to do the whole roundtrip through the clogged Marina Centre and Orchard roads. not to mention the frequent overloadings.

I will also avoid Sv 170. Sv 950 is very slack, the driver can take at least 5 mins rest at Checkpoints. Same as CW1/2. CW2 bussiness very bad

PJ_Quek SG

61, at Tanglin Halt Rd, Holland Village and Kg Bahru Rd. These areas have very narrow road and can be very tedious for the driver driving bendy bus.

For me , very simple . Any services just as long no scanias operating on the route. I will not want to drive one not to mention taking one.

cool_elf SG

I will avoid:

51 and 61 for the long winding routes.
67 for the high demand places. So much loads.

I don't want to drive MKIIs, very bumpy and hot. I prefer scanias. I dont mind driving other bus models but not MKIIs.

As for SBST, I would like to drive sv30 for city sightseeing, 161 and 168 for the greenery along the expressway view.

As for SMRT, I would like to drive sv175 for the rural feeling and very relaxing and 925 for the nice view at kranji reservoir.

I think 175 shud end it's service at 3am.. I'm sure many fellas wud like to drop at those cemetaries Laughing

iveco SG

Isn’t the cemetery route spooky at 3 am? For the sake of the Svc Cpt’s health, the current operating hours of 175 are good enough.

alantanchunshyan SG

all those long distance routes like 30 ,14,167,961.if not i have to chiong like mad Evil or Very Mad .

kenny_cai SG

I would avoid Services 51, 61, 160, 170 and 950 at all costs. Yeah, you’re right, services 51 and 61 ARE very long. And I also hate cross-border services, although the route for 950 is short.

tanjun SG

I will avoid driving the bus services with long rutes such as 14, 51, 30, 154, 61 and so on.

I will like to drive service 147. Although the route may be a bit too long, I keep taking bus 147 to my relatives house last time, to Chinatowm to buy new year goodies and many more. Besides, I am more familiar with 147 than the other bus services.

i would avoid ANY bus service tat goes thru GEYLANG and the LIM CHU KANG areas..
geylang cos of the jams n "people" u meet..
lim chu kang cos its damn spooky n empty at night..

my fave service wld be 17..see my user id?? haha..its kinda short and i take it almost everyday..i memorised the route liao..but it does get crowded wif students on sch days..horrible..

5454 SG

i like sevice 54 and 165 the route is very nice Cool

t89z SG

I don’t like 67. So long distance, many students and SAF personnel during morning peak, many foreign workers during weekends. Bendy bus also cannot cope with the demand.

Volvo Olympian SG

For me I would avoid these services:

61, 170, 307, 925 and 961

What about Svc 99? I see it as the West's equivalent of Svc 17.

sErviCe17rOx SG

but SV 17 rox more..hahahaha.. Very Happy

tib725a SG

For SMRT i will avoid 67 and 61(kj n amk depot) the trips are so long 144 min at peak wa.. imagine tt u r the driver seating at the air sus seat ur butt also can burn.... Laughing

[email protected] SG

I would avoid all feeder services.

Cos you have to repeat the route for up to 10-20 times a day, hence it gets a little boring, and imagine doing that 365 days a year... How boring can it gets...
