Simple! SBST’s bendy buses are mostly deployed on services with short routes, and Service 18 is considered 1 of these services that are short and have HIGH d...

Hi everyone, how are your new year celebrations going? For me, it's great with lots of goodies to eat!

During the holidays, I've created this Volvo Super Turbo Olympian articulated for this forum and for fun. You can design the buses any way you want, conventional or unconventional. Enjoy! Very Happy

I don't think in Singapore can allowed that bus.But never mind, very nice ur pics...VV wheres the front and back?

Volvo_Volgren SG

Hey Superbus, how did you do it?

Volvo_Volgren SG

VO, thanks for the compliment! If SG allows it, it will be a dream come true. This DDA could carry more than the current LO and VO’s!

I think a prototype like that had already appeared in Germany a few years back. Wonder what happened to it? If Singapore DID deploy that kind of bus (99% of the answers are NO), there’s only 1 bus service that will get it: Service 18.

Volvo Olympian SG

Then Service 18 will be full of bendies..

True True, it appeared in the news, Germany had an Articulated Double Decker. It's call the NEoplan N138 jumbocruiser

woah..if SBST were 2 carry articulated DDs, they r gonna burn their pockets wif da road taxes..

Volvo_Volgren SG

Hey guys, let’s have a bus design concept showcase in this post….what do you think?

Volvo_Volgren SG

Another design concept: Volvo CNG turbo

Performance: A mixture of Volvo's CNG chassis and brake system, Scania's 113 enchanced intercooler engine power, Dennis superb roadholding, MB's ride quality. The best of all worlds.... Smile

Volvo Olympian SG

Why is the colour like that?BTW the bus looks nice to me.

Volvo_Volgren SG

If anybody would like to create fantasy bus designs, liveries,etc...I have created two templates for private uses. To ask for a template:

1) Post to this thread

2) Send a private msg

3) Send an e-mail to me

More will be added soon, if there is an overwhelming response. Cheers Wink

Volvo_Volgren SG

VO, the environmental-friendly scheme matches the technology of the CNGT bus perfectly.

Superbus SG

IMO, a Blue Sky scheme suits the CNG bus better. Blue skies = clean air.

to Volvo_Volgren:
the middle should still have two axles. this is to support the weight of the trailer. the jumbocruiser also has 4 axles altogether. Wink

Volvo_Volgren SG

Superbus, thanks for your opinion. I will work on that in the upcoming new CNG concept. Smile
