Simple! SBST’s bendy buses are mostly deployed on services with short routes, and Service 18 is considered 1 of these services that are short and have HIGH demand. That’s why. Therefore, it’s no surprise that Service 18 gets it again!

Acx1688, thanks for the compliments! Both the CNGT and VSTO needed 3-axles to work. And yes, both buses are designed to be wheelchair friendly! For the VSTO, There's even a built-in wheelchair elevator in the second carriage, for easy wheelchair access! Stay tuned for more pics Smile

ahh~!! no..what i meant was the back of the first carriage should have two axles adjacent to each other. just like the present DDs. your latest design might have a lot of trouble making sharp turns like that. Laughing

Try not to stretch your bus too long or else difficult for BC to maneuver, result only few svcs will have the bus, in addition, the rear portion should not be too long or it will cause the bus to ‘jack-knife!’

on there you will see 4-axle double decker neoplan artics, 10 with single axle trailers (2 in middle) and 1 with a twin axle trailer (single fron, single middle, twin rear!).

you will also find photos of 2 (now deceased!) Berkhof 3000 HDA double decker artics of the same axle layout as the last described neoplan.

additionallly, there are loads of phots of the one and only Berkhof 2000HDA, superhigh decker(seats above driver), with double decker trailer. This one has single front, single middle, single rear axles (like the design pictured above)
