service_238 SG In that case name me a DIRECT bus (other than 82) from Upp Serangoon Rd (Kovan Stn) to Punggol Rd (Blk 227D) & (Blk 231) In case you didnt know many pax prefer 82 than 136 partially because its more recognised in the north east and also better frequency. And one more thing.. I'm talking abt parts of the route that the route cover, NOT point to point alternatives. And for your info, no other service plies the entire stretch of Punggol Rd (except the Punggol MRT section)
leeJZ SG Many people prefer 82 you say but why 136 can support LO 3X during peak hours and 82 cannot? Is demand for 82 really high from Kovan to the part of Punggol Rd you mentioned? 88 plies the entire stretch of Punggol Rd that is not in Punggol.
service_238 SG 136 caters to MORNING school students and also to please the SJC principal. Boarding and alighting places for 82 where demand is good are: Upp Serangoon Rd (Kovan MRT) Hougang Ave 2 (Blk 70 Hougang Ave 10 (Blk 521) Hougang Ave 10 (Blk 421) Punggol Rd (Opp Blk 111) Punggol Rd (Blk 227D) Punggol Rd (Blk 231) Punggol Rd (Blk 298A) Punggol Rd (Blk 203A) and vice versa.. After that bus stop demand is rather low during AM Off Peak. 88 does ply much of Punggol Rd, but it doesnt serve Punggol Rd to Hougang Central and Kovan!
sbst275 SG 136 serves students, it duplicates with 119 as the latter 90% duplicates 136 rt. 82 demand is average IMO but is the only bus from Kovan to entire Punggol Road 88 does not serve the entire Punggol Road still...
leeJZ SG 82 also serves Serangoon JC. It also serves a fair amount of schools, about 8+ schools. If 82 is to be shortened, perhaps either 87 or 89 can be amended to ply its Hougang Ctrl - Punggol Rd route, as both of them duplicate each other from HGN - SEK.
leeJZ SG Average demand perhaps, 158 cannot be touched because it is the only service serving Tanjong Rhu / Dunman High.
sbst275 SG Low demand means low demand, who cares abt its serving areas. Like 90 or 91, the only bus from the terminal to somewhere, it is still low.
leeJZ SG You'd expect it to be average demand because its the only bus in a LARGE private estate, maybe most of the people get off at Aljunied MRT.
supremebull SG Demand for 158 along the Tanjong Rhu area is atrocious all day except for AM peak and 1200 – 1700 hours since only the DHS ppl swell up the bus then and the Tg Rhu people can drive all their nice shiny expensive cars.
SBS9818A SG During weekends, I've seen Sv. 158 buses with standees from Aljunied MRT to Tg Rhu. Don't forget not all residents there drive.
loudmonkey SG I think for off peak, almost all the Jurong Industrial services quite low demand, incl 182. 192 and 193 is not too bad i think, still got the JW residents to serve. 405 is confirm low demand. High demand throughout the day - 99, 147
supremebull SG um...what times of the day would that be? jus wanna see whether i can explain it or not
