No, it isn't. 518 goes to Elias Road via Drive 3 before hitting Drive 1 and down to Tampines. It doesn't go by 15's route.

Your last statement is not true 100% of the time. I've been to Bedok Reservoir both at night and the day, and I wouldn't say a lot of people use them. A lot, in my opinion, is the amount of people at Orchard Emerald bus stop. Bedok Reservoir pales in comparison. Not to mention that buses using Bedok Nth Extension are comparitively full by the time they hit that stretch.

Demand for the bus stops is quite good. They serve joggers at Bedok Reservoir Park and the HDB flats / condos off Bedok Reservoir Rd.

Can you think of any non central (ie TPY Ctrl) bus stop outside the city that can beat the Orchard Emerald bus stop in terms of pax? Rolling Eyes

Tampines Ave 1 catchment is only mainly Temasek Poly students and the small number of HDB flats off it, Bedok Reservoir loads can beat it easily except during school release hours. Currently it is the holidays, loads are pretty miserable.

Of course I can, Admiralty MRT stop, Bishan Nth Shopping Mall, Zion Kindergarten on Bishan St 11, Eunos Blk 322 bus stop, just to name a few.

Travelling time between SAFRA and the junction of Bedok North Rd & Bedok Reservoir Rd via Bedok Reservoir Rd or Tampines Ave 1 / Bedok North Rd Extn is comparable.

When I take Sv 23 and the bus is around the SAFRA area and a 65 or 22 bus turns into Bedok Rsvr Rd, I always see the 65 or 22 bus at the junction when the Sv 23 bus reaches there.

Even though Tampines Ave 1 only has 5 bus stops (excluding SAFRA), travelling time is comparable because it is 2-3 times longer than going straight through Bedok Rsvr Rd.

You cant compare a stretch of road in HDB estate with that of central or shopping mall stops. Bedok Reservoir Rd can be even busier than roads like Tampines Ave 9, at times Tampines Ave 1, Pasir Ris Dr 3... Rolling Eyes

In the numerous times that I've been to Bedok Reservoir Rd, be it during day or night, pax flow there is very light. Most times, I see pax alighting and I can count the number boarding with one hand. AFAIK Zion Kindergarten isn't in Bishan Central, neither is Blk 54 of TPY. So we're comparing apples to apples, and not apples to oranges.

During school days, There will be alot of Damai Sec students taking bus from the nearby bus stop usually in the afternoon.

But after school dismissal times everything quietens down right? The students don't mill around 7pm to take a bus, no? You can't expect them to cut class and take a bus at 9am also right?

However, the load at Bedok Reservoir is MORE than the load along Tampines Ave 1, most of the times.

21 22 65 66 228 506 all ply the vast majority of the bus stops on the road while only 8 15 23 69 ply Tampines Ave 1 (aft SAFRA).

Furthermore, Tampines Ave 1 load is high percentage of TP students, without them, load is quite light.

Nope. After rounding into Tampines Ave 10 the buses are usually about half full. In fact, most of the pax along Tampines Ave 1 board / alight to / from the interchange, as it is the holidays now, so few TP students.

By comparison, Bedok Reservoir Rd's load is quite stable throughout the year.

And I have passed through Tampines Ave 1 via Sv 23 for quite alot of times...more than you.

What you are doing is getting an average count of posts. The reality is sometimes in a month you post more, sometimes less.
