In my opinion, no. Many drivers have said they prefer O405s to B10Ms. IMO, the O405 offers a much better ride for drivers and pax. Plus with the additional standing room, can make more money if full. I really don't understand what SBST is doing sometimes.

Then cant they remove seats in the Volvos?

SBS9818A SG

If you opened your eyes wider and paid more attention, you would notice that the seats on B10M are always elevated from aisle height. Explain to me then, how can they have extra standing room?

The era of 2x DD buses is passe. This is the age of ADDs, which means 3x DD buses. It is good to see the 24-310s alongside the VSOs and Tridents.

leeJZ SG

ok...

but dont you think SBST chose Volvos for a reason? Maybe they always give discounts?

service_238 SG

They have corporate links which each other.

SBS9818A SG

No such things as discount. Discount would amount to corruption. SBST buy Volvo because their parent company is the sole Volvo Bus distributor in SG.

leeJZ SG

OK that is the reason then...why do you still say you dont understand why SBST buys Volvo?

I don't understand because Volvo doesn't really suit its needs.

The era for 2x DD is just passed in Hong Kong and Singapore, but not UK XDDDD, however, as I know, those MAN and Neoplan in Hong Kong are always overheated......So....they are really not good as what you think.

For those Neoplan Centroliners, they are excellent Super BASS Sound makers.......BAD!

SBS9818A SG

Overheated due to too much insulation or stress from urban driving?

sneezelam SG

I have no idea. Since I am not an expert. Very Happy But I do think that's not a reason, as those Neoplan Centroliner s are mainly serving Expressway routes.

iveco SG

Does that mean all MAN buses are prone to overheating?

If that is the case, is it why SBS only has one MAN 16-240?

Are 18-280s used on Malaysian roads safe, then?
