Well, in rationalisations, you sometimes loose direct links to places. CCK / BBT / Jln TPY lost their direct links to the airport when 989 was chopped.

AMK - TAM : 25 to Hougang Ave 3, transfer 72. Or 86 to Punggol Rd, cross road and take 27.
AMK - PSR : 25 to Hougang Ave 3, transfer 8. Or 86 to Punggol Rd, cross road and take 88 / 89.
AMK - Ubi : 24 to Paya Lebar Rd, transfer 8
AMK - BDK Nth : 25 to Eunos Link, take 87. Or cross road, take 15 or 21. Alternative 24 or 25 to Bedok, transfer to feeder.

AMK lost their links completely?? No. Rolling Eyes

btw Sv 16 cannot be amended out of Joo Chiat Rd because it is the only service that plies there.

Transferring is a hassle. Just because you feel this service should be withdrawn doesn't mean PTC will think that way. They will only chop parts of a route that duplicates MRT lines, so I think Sv. 22 is here to stay.

Once 22 is gone, Many AMKsians will have to transfer at unknown stops and board another unknown bus. And later problems arose as people may not know where to stop! Maybe LeeJZ does not know the characters of AMKsians... And his place is so good that he can travel to most places without transferring.
If 162 is really gone.... see what I will do... No direct links to the whole stretch of Orchard Rd. 132 only stops at Orchard MRT only...

If PTC only chops the CCL parts, then 22 should become a Tampines - MacPherson Estate loop service...AMK will still loose it.

I have no direct links to Toa Payoh (sadly), Woodlands (need to go to TAM for 16 Cool , HarbourFront (need to go to BDK for 30), Jurong East (need to do 4 transfers), Boon Lay (BDK for Sv 30), Clementi, Bukit Batok, Choa Chu Kang, Orchard Rd, Marine Parade, Little India, Shenton Way, Thomson Rd, to name a few. Although I admit my place is quite well connected, especially to the NE corridor.

While AMK has direct links to just about everywhere except the northwest...

Yes, Tampines is too convenient, not so for Central districts like Bishan and AMK. We don't have the luxury of three services to Tampines, like TPY, or 2 services to Jurong East.

Sv 10 doesnt go to my place (Loyang Ave - Blk 149A / Opp Blk 149A or Upp Changi Rd North) and its too slow anyway, better to take 30.

From AMK, there is MRT to Orchard Road. In fact, you have a choice of 3 stops to get off.

Ang Mo Kio does need improvement. It has relatively poor links to the West.

They have 74 (Bukit Timah / Clementi Northeast / Dover), 165 (Holland / Ulu Pandan / Clementi), 166 (HarbourFront / Alexandra / Dover / C'wealth Ave), 852 (Bukit Timah / Bukit Batok)...relatively poor? Quite good actually!

Pathetic? 165 alone can provide a reasonably fast link to the west, where they can change at MRT line. Yishun has worse links to the west...852, 855, 171 only...do not even stop at any western MRT station.

165 fast meh? Took me at least 1 hr to get to Clementi... butt pain also! Yishun got 171 connecting via Mandai. 138 has no chance connecting the west... forget about it.
