How come Tampines Ave 2 is in between Ave 7 and Loyang Ave? Yishun Ave 5 and Ave 7 are not connected together.

Buses have to go above 60 in order to complete tt route in 20mins,. though not continously, obviously!!!

Hmm...but keep in mind tt the turning circle of a 0405G is less than that of a Volvo B10M, and it is good enuf for 2 buses to travel side by side in SKG.

I was thinking of swapping 172 and 180 berths at BNL, since svc 172 route is quite short and it has a very fast turnover time. This allows 180 drivers to rest at BNL.

Turning circles do not mean anything. If the interchange was not designed for O405Gs then O405Gs won't materialize.

it means a lot. if the bus can do turns better than a Volvo B10M or whateva in a confined space means the bus will go to that interchange. i mean look at WTC int. wd u ever expect a bendybus to do a 3 point there? no?

too bad 188 does 3 point parking.

look at SK int. even tho there are no place for bendybus to park. there is the fact that TIBS buses loop at SK int not park. and any bus can fit into a bus berth in ANY int..agree?

What is 3-point parking? If it means the same as a 3-point turn, then I want to point out that 188 and 963 drivers normally park or reverse in 1 whole sequence. They don't go in, then reverse then go in again (and vice versa for reversing).

I'm puzzled,

In the first place, where at the entrance/ exit of Bartley Road Extn? Does Airport Road has it?

Just my 2 cents worth. No offence intended.

1. Note the areas in red. Those are within SAF boundaries (aka Changi Camp) so I dont think SBS buses will be allowed inside. Furthermore, there are no bus stops constructed inside the camp area.

2 Minor points - Brasah Road? Clementi Ave? Jurong East Town Hall Road?

3. I don't understand why with the introduction of 34, there must be a downgrade/removal of 518. Firstly, the route covered by 34 does not match those covered by 518 in any way. Furthermore, 518 provides access for people in Pasir Ris to Marina Centre, not Harbourfront.

4. Crawford Street goes beneath Nicoll Highway and there is no direct link for traffic to go from Crawford St to Nicoll Highway.

I also would like the former link between Choa Chu Kang, Bt Batok and Changi Airport to be reinstated provided the route is not circuitous. I believe if the route is well planned, it could generate revenue.

I also would like a sv between Bt Panjang and Toa Payoh. Perhaps the service could pass by CCK first b4 heading towards Toa Payoh.

How bout CCK to Sengkang? or Bt Panjang to Sengkang?

Bt Batok to Sengkang would also be good. Perhaps via Bt Panjang or CCK? Very Happy

As for now, CBS aka COp Bus Service is now concentrating on operating services from the eastern-most interchange - PSR. Currently Service 20 is in operation from PSR to KNR (Kent Ridge) Route details refer to earlier posts in this thread.

CBS is currently undergoing a study of a route from Pasir Ris to the central part of Singapore. Although CBS20 has provided that link to Toa Payoh, more links need to establish in order to wipe out SBST and TIBS Razz

CBS20 duplicates SBST95 in one portion but it does not duplicate any current SBST or TIBS route. I think SBST95 will face withdrawal by 14 Mar 2004.

Report of commuter usage of CBS20

Weekday
AM Peak: High volumes of HCJC NJC NYGH TCH students from Tampines to their schools. High Volumes of MJC students from PSR to MJC. Fortunately, 5 min frequency is enough to sustain the loads of working people from Tampines and Pasir Ris to Buona Vista/NUS and vice versa.

AM Off-Peak: Average volumes of commuters from Toa Payoh to Tampines and from Pasir Ris to Tampines. MJC Students use this service frequently to reach Tampines Central in under 12min. Volumes of dismissed students also use this service to go home in the afternoons.

PM Peak: Working personnel use this service to get from Holland V and Bt Timah to Tampines and vice versa.

PM Off-Peak: Low demand of commuter usage. Not more findings recorded.

This service can give SBST23 and SBST506 a run for their money. lolz..

With such a long journey, not sure if CBS20 can be as frequent and regular as SBST95. I would definitely wish to have CBS20, having have to travel from HV to SSMC daily, it will be of great help.

currently the ZYX84 loads are getting too high along Mountbatten road to tampines. as a result VSOs have been deployed on 84.

otherwise the load between tampines and punggol is also getting high. the frequency of the bus has been adjusted to 7 mins per bus during peak
