The following is the reply from Tibs about a suggested service between Woodlands and Bedok. (I have posted the suggestion here before). Judging from the reply, it seems impossible that the new service will become a reality. Mr. Green

NEW BUS SERVICE 968 (Woodlands to Bedok)

Currently, Tibs bus connection between Tampines and Yishun/Woodlands is by service 969, which ply along the expressways.

However, Tibs bus connection between Bedok and Yishun is by service 854, which does not ply along any expressway, and result in a longer time to reach the destination.

When the bridge linking Woodlands Ave 7 and Sembawang Way is completed, a new Tibs service 968 can be introduced to ply between Woodlands Regional interchange and Bedok interchange via the expressways, for a faster connection between Yishun and Bedok, and to serve Sembawang passengers going to Bedok.

Route: Woodlands Ave 7, Sembawang Way, Canberra Link, Yishun Ave 2, Lentor Ave, SLE (Express), TPE (Express), Tampines Ave 10 (Express), Bedok North Rd and Bedok North Ave 1.

I hope you would consider and implement my suggestion which enhances connection between the North and East. Thank you and best regards.

We wish to assure you that we have noted your suggestion to introduce a new service, linking Woodlands and Bedok via Woodlands Ave 7, Sembawang Way, Canberra Link, Yishun Ave 2, Lentor Ave, SLE (Express), TPE (Express), Tampines Ave 10 (Express), Bedok North Rd and Bedok North Ave 1. At this present moment, we do not have any immediate plans. However, we would give it due consideration in future. Meanwhile, you may wish to know that currently, beside the train, you can also take Service 168 from Woodlands to Bedok.

Yup…would like to see a direct connection to the Eastern End of Singapore…but maybe the service wun be so viable during the school hols.

Why not bedok to bt panjang instead?Maybe after CSS 608 is withdrawn.The last time i suggested to them for a new service either from bedok,eunos or pasir ris to woodlands,their reply is that ‘there are many services in the east to woodlands actually,You can take this svs,alight here and transfer there,bla bla nere,bla bla there’,chehh!

It will just be like another service 74 or 151. Why does version 3 express along Jln TPY?
