GINSENG HOT POT
Hot pots are hot in every sense of the word. They are all the rage
here, but one often ends up sweating profusely over the steaming
pot.
The Buffet, which offers a hot pot or steamboat buffet in the
evenings, is one of the coolest eateries in which to enjoy a
meal.
It is also very clean, with the tables fitted with ceramic
hotplates that do away with the need for flames, as well as a clear
glass pot in which to serve the stock. Besides the usual chicken
and tom yam soups, a different special soup is also featured each
month. This month, it's ginseng soup which is brewed with chicken
and fresh ginseng.
And, on top of the usual items on the buffet spread, which include
seafood and yong tau foo, there is also black chicken to go with
the soup.
The steamboat is available from 6.30 to 11pm. It costs $38 for
adults and $19 for children.
