I think the wanton noodles at Lavender Food Court is damn over-rated

It's expensive
Taste average
Poor service plus bad attitude
Long waiting time.

Just tried it once and dunno why so many ppl queue up for it.

hahhaha... so many ppl queue up for it because they cannot decide what to do so they follow the queue.

and most of the time.. those places recommended through TV's programme by the actresses or actors.. .ah.. when you go there and try.. somehow something is missing... came to conclusion.. when these actors and actresses go there.. their portion is somehow specially made or more added ingredient.

hmm.. boon tong kee was seriously good about 5 years back.. when they were not so rich yet.. the bosses etc are just money hungry i guess.. that explains the cutting costs and all that shit that make the chicken sucky.. and they probably employ lousy pple that cant cook properly ffs.. sigh.. as usual.. once something becomes too popular.. the standard always drops.. but thats ok.. cuzz usually those lesser famous ones but those that are really good are cheaper.. and lesser pple know about them.. ^^ good for those who know those stalls etc.

For me, rotiboy taste nice, but is too BIG in size. Too much coffee smell down my throat and the rotiboy taste yucky ... or .. sian of the taste liao. It's oily too ... the inside ...

Breaktalk to me is nice to see, but taste wise .... hmmm... just not use to the taste ... those 'new''innovation' taste hahaa....

for me its hock lam and haw heng beef noodles, though its pretty good its nothing fantastic, i’d take the one at larvender anyday..cheaper and bigger serving and tastes better. but standard has dropped reccently though

Queue one time and get this kind of sub standard food which is dam ex.
Bean sprouts also count before giving out.
Its the farking queue that makes you feel the food is good.
Its nothing great.

totally agree with regards to their nasi lemak.
Over rated!!!! The queue so long, so expensive.
I rather eat the Chong Pang one...but that one also expensive!!

if you went to Kim's ten yrs ago.. definitely it's nice...
then i shifted near there.. everyday also can eat.. sianz liao..
cook by the father one definitely is good..
the son one is ok..
the worker one is bad....
so muz see who cook one..

boon tong kee @ river valley road pretends to be HIGH CLASS!! provides all cheapo stuff but make u pay high price. food are so so, portion is small n expensive. i prefer their few doors down neighbour instead. FIVE STARS CHHICKEN RICE IS TASTY!! they use kampong chicken. healthier! try it. another one in east coast road too!!
