What if a farking pro and experienced driver is driving a Kia Picanto manual and another weak driver is driving a Ferrari F430, can the farking pro driver win the sh!tty driver in the F430? Obviously not..power also very important..

U thinking of street racing? By all means try race with those Supercar on normal street c how fast u can be? u think rich ass wanna race with a 1L car? Everyone know each car have their own limit, it is the driver who can push to their limit. If u r comparing a pro and a less skill driver, it's off topic. And if u r camparing a 5L to a 1L car it's also off topic. TS is asking about a auto and manual car.

It's you who never made your point clear..if you had stated earlier you are comparing cars of similar specifications, but only that their gearbox is different, then I wouldn't have stated my example..

Added: And no matter how fast you change gears in an automatic gearbox with manual override function, it will never be as fast compared to a professional driver shifting gears at top speed in a manual car or a dual-clutch gearbox..so technically speaking, if there are two cars side by side being of the same specifications, but one had a manual box while the other had an automatic torque convertor, the auto car is going to lose towards the end..

But there's a way you can be faster than a similar car also with auto box..calculate the optimal shift up point and shift at the right rpm..you confirm faster than the guy driving the same car as you next to you..because he may not know the optimal shift up point for every gear..

If yur planning on getting yur licence...get a manual licence...Class 3...in case u wanna get further classes in future...moreover u can drive both manual & auto cars...

Singapore is not conducive to driving manual cars anymore...more cars on the road...traffic getting more conjested...

So just imagine those poor bus drivers last time..buses had manual boxes back then..and they have to stop at traffic lights and bus stops..they must have a left hand of steel.. Laughing

And somemore the gears super hard to engage one..sometimes find a gear can find damn long..too hard to engage..

I dunno why i find manual much easier to control than auto. Instead of the car moving itself everytime when u shift into D, u do the controlling yourself and its hard to fall asleep driving a manual, only thing you have to watch out is your speed lol.. mmm but i never drove an auto before, only asked around how it is like although i got class 3.

auto(lao peh’s car). imho, auto easier to control. just accelerate and brake. no need to shift down or up to pick up or slow down.

It's thanks to the torque convertor that an auto car will creep forward..but just apply a bit of brake pressure and it won't move in 'D' already isn't it? Mr. Green

I would still prefer to drive an auto car..but too bad my dad's car is a manual..

i ever tried shifting using my right hand as my left hand was holding ex-gf's hand.. my ex-gf was like wtF den she push my hand onto the gearknob after that.. Twisted Evil and the other time was when i was on the phone and i was already dragggin at gear2 almost at redline liao.. Embarassed
