i happen to know one like him 
he promised that he'd be there, and he tried his best.. just that
was found wanting...
knowing he wasn't good enough, he sought to be better, but
ultimately, she found someone else...
and true to his word, his promise to her... when she did find
someone else, he'd never look for her again... for she would have
someone else who would look at her the way he used to.. to look
after her the way he wanted to... and love her.. and hopefully be
able to be all he could never be for her..
still, and in one day, when she went away for good, he had an
epiphany of sorts.. he knew he was not for her and she was not for
him, and suddenly a weight lifted off him, but she would not listen
nor accept that.. and he did not know she found another, and did
not even try to win her back... when he was told of her being
attached, he remembered his promise and told her that he would not
see her again... and she went ballistic.. all about guilt.. where
none was spread around, she found some... non-existent, but some
was found...
ever since then, he has been a happy man...
he's left it behind... and speaks freely of it except the promises
he made to her about things that will be kept secret.. when he is
reminded of her, he just smiles and has this strange air of
serenity which when i asked, he says she taught him a lot.. one was
to stand his ground when he was right.. something he allowed her to
trample over because he just wanted to please her.. and lots more
i've seen him through that relationship.. strangely, when he was
with her, he was very happy... but now, he seems happier... and
looking for love, with an eye on someone very special
still, looking at people in general, maybe i'm biased as a man, but
men will do all that they can, and some even more than they should,
for the love of a woman...
some women take advantage of that..
some men take advantage of women too.. we've heard that a
lot..
men tend to suck it all up.. those whom you hear, are usually
speaking of a fraction of their agony... for men are genetically
hardwired not to show any..
think about that..
as for the deadlier, there are none as deadly as those who do not
know how deadly they can be... and wield that without even
knowing... devastating everyone in their wake...
and those who can be forgiven anything.. for one look at them, all
is forgiven..
