Buddhism emphasize on us "saving ourselves"....every word, thought and action will have Karma (consequences) attached to it...we must depend on our good efforts....then can we be reborn into the higher realms of existence...in order to be completely free from the cycles of birth, old age, sickness and death, we must practice dilligently, maybe for afew lifetimes and become a buddha... eventually....

You got chapter and verse? Bring it on. Let's debate and reason it out. I can tell you, many times the effort to do this pays off because you can form an opinion as to who has the better argument. But of course if your Bible knowledge is shallow to begin with you have no tools and base to evaluate anything at all. I think it makes more sense in buddhism because we take responsibility for our own actions.

We dont wait for someone to saveus, nor do we expect that someone "has already" saved us from ourwrongdoings.

I get married to my wife cos i am 100% certain she loves me...but ppl who dunno her or didnt live wif her, will they be 100% certain she is a loving person? they may have observed the times she nag at me or scolded me then feel she doesnt love me...but wad they didnt see were the times she cared for me and showered me wif love which could have been done privately at home where there are only 2 of us...so juz cos i cun prove wad happened at home, does it mean i cannot be 100% certain she loves me? tats why some forumers here like demon bane will say to each his own cos experiences are very personal...

becos we are commanded to do so...and the great commandment is juz abt one of the easiest command tat christians can follow...if we cun even bring ourselves to do tat at least, how can we claim to be followers of christ??? i mean the great commandment compared to the 10 commandments, tell me which is easiest to follow? if christians dun even try to do the easiest, dun even tink we can fulfill the harder ones...this is my take...lets see if BIC has any input on this...
