as I was not a Christian. She said I had to convert to Christianity if I wanted to be with her. In the end I refused and we broke up. If you were me, would u have converted?

BTW, her church is the CCC or Central Christian Church.

Hello. Some churches allow u to be with other religion people some churches discourages that.

But I am against idea of forcing other ppl to convert to a faith.

Legally, in singapore, no churches can stop believers from marrying non believers. Although some churches will not want to conduct such marriage (between believers/non-believers) ceremony. In any case, there is nothing to stop them from going to ROM to register their marriage and have it officated before a civil registrar.

I guess the most important thing is to resolve any conflicts between the couple of different religions.

I have seen couples who had come to an agreement to respect each other religion and learn more about them without trying to convert each other, and also the religion of the children is another issue they need to resolve before getting married.

God di, rite? at elast tahts what we are supposed to believe...so since we also believe that God is a perfect God who is never wrong, when He says in 2 Cor 6:14 not to be unequally yoked, do you tink he didnt understand enuff abt love and r/s to tell that to us?

who would understand sth better? the maker of that sth or the oneswho merely use/follow whatever the maker has made? When Thomas Edison invented the light bulb, who else understood how a light bulb worked better than Edison himself? when the Wright brothers made the 1st airplane, who else understood the making s of an airplane better than them?

the problem with being unequally yoked arises due to 2 basic reasons...1) ppl often do not realised(even christians themselves) that love and r/s are part of a perfect God's creation...God Himself is love...worse, non-creationists would never tink along the line tat love and r/s were a result of creation...2) the emotional attachment they developed for each other causes them to stay tgr as a couple at the expense of the christian faith...the christian halves would turn to the fact that they and their spouses are still happy tgr after marriage and that christian couples do get divorced to validate that wad they did wasnt wrong...

to all christians, let not forget that it was God who made the 1st love r/s btw adam and eve...if He had not done that, adam being the 1st man will have no idea wad love was...

the moment tat christian suggested that God changed His mind, he is alredi believing in an imperfect God...tat is contrary to the fundamentals of christianity...juz like if a buddhist comes to u and say tat actually buddha tot he was enlightened but turn out, he wasnt...do u still call this person a buddhist and sound in his understanding of buddhism?
