I think it is very dangerous to call ALL healings as crap.
I agree with you, there're preachers who fake healings...but it
doesn't mean ALL healings are crap.
And it is also not true, healing exploits the sick or poor.
Because genuine healings by God is a matter of a supernatural act
of God to heal and nobody is asking anyone for money or
anything.
I can assure you, I know genuine and real people, personal
friends, who're undoubtedly healed from cancer and terminal
diseases.
Healing is real - if it is from God. It is not the preacher who
heals, it is Jesus who heals! Although God does choose to sometimes
anoint or give a certain person the faith to pray and move in
healing.
Its in the bible...read the OT and NT, you will discover there
were specific people who were anointed to carry God's power to
heal.
Not all preachers are after your money or faking healings. God
does heal !
If you can't believe God can heal, why believe in God at all? If
you can't believe God for healing, how are you going to believe
there's heaven and you'll go there? If God is real, He is real
today, right now !
Charismatic is not a 'bad word' - it simply refers to Christians
who believe in the power of the Holy Spirit.
It could be the placebo effect at work, it has the same
requirements for healing, conplete belief, that religious healing
supposedly does. I don't believe in god at all.
