davidche SG As part of the church library comittee, i would like to know what kind of books you people as christians recomend to be put in a church library. Pls suggest any titles or reputable authors that you think are good. Just shoot the names.

dumbdumb! SG The gift - Max Lucado He chose the nails - Max Lucado A love worth giving - Max Lucado Travelling light - Max Lucado Twice Pardoned - Harrod Morris
Ito_^ SG Bible. The Question of God, C.S. Lewis and Sigmund Freud Debate on God, Love, Sex and The Meaning of Life. i feel the author is biased towards freud, so its appropriate in a christian library.
Chin Eng SG not that I am not willing to give you some titles, but wouldn't your congregation be a better place to start? you need to look into the profile of your congregation and decide what age groups are more predominant. This will then translate into the kind of books that you might want to purchase. Check with your church office to see if they already have a special deal with some bookstores or bookrooms. I also hope that you have an adult chairing this committee and that you are not a OMO.
Icemoon SG I couldn't find it on their website. 2 possibilities: a. they are non denominational b. they are not proud of their denomination => there is de-emphasis of denomination. They advertise themselves as a purpose driven church. So maybe should buy all the Rick Warren books.
vince69 SG biangz .... Church Library ... Bibles ... yes, must have Bibles (a few different translations) to start with.
Icemoon SG actually who will borrow a bible from the church library? at least purchase a study bible.
vince69 SG different versions mah ... btw, a good study bible can be quite expensive one, not all people can afford to buy ...
